From being greeted upon entering the restaurant to checkout, the servers were wonderful and friendly. The food was delicious! My hubby got the supreme omelet and I had the spinach omelet. The cooking staff did a great job. We are grateful for the kindness and professionalism of all those who helped in this experience. Great job to them all ?

Great fries! I wonder if they are twice fried? Hard to achieve the crispy outer shell otherwise. Chicken sandwich was great. Worth stopping by!

NOTE: Not easily wheelchair accessible.
NOTE 2: Avoid sitting in the 4 top table right in front of the kitchen door. That door is an accident waiting to happen with hot food all over a server or a customer. The door is single wide and a blind entrance (the glass is too small. A good (temporary?) fix would be a saloon double swinging door style. Or make that table a 1 seater dedicated to POW & MIA soldiers. This would completely fit the style of the restaurant, and customers would love it.
A family place with a down home country feel. Large portions with good flavor. Prices felt high the first time we were there until we got our food and wow.... the table ran out of room to hold all the stuff. All 4 of us brought home left overs.
Great place and I hope they stick around a long time.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily accessible. Outside there's a very small ramp to get onto the sidewalk, but getting into the door would be very difficult. Not entirely sure the doors are even wide enough.

Went to the Hop in Cafe for the first time this morning for breakfast. I wanted to order the basic breakfast which included 2 eggs, 1 bacon, 1 sausage, hash browns and 2 pancakes. Not really wanting the 2 pancakes I asked the young waitress if I could substitute one more egg instead off the pancakes. She told me I couldn't do that and when I challenged her on it, she motioned for the manager to come over. When I asked the manager about the substitution she also said I couldn't substitute and that if I wanted an extra egg I would have to pay extra. When I questioned the manager about the egg instead of pancakes her answer was "you know that eggs are pretty expensive!" They absolutely would not take care of my minor request, and their reason was ridiculous! 1 star rating from me and they lost a customer for life. Poor service, no tip from me!!!

The waitress killed the meal when I asked for steak tips, and she said it has two options. Steak tips and steak. I said steak tips, not the steak, and her response was ... I'm not responsible if it's wrong. New or not. She should be trained in her job. What is really weird is with steak tips. How did I want them cooked. Again, it isn't a steak! Please train her.
