Itâs a very unassuming place but the owner is cheerful, the menu varied and the food excellent. We ordered Egg Flower soup (egg drop), Egg rolls and Chicken Egg Foo Young. The presentation for the Egg Foo Young was different than what weâre used to - one big pancake with the additions on top rather than individual, smaller pancakes. It was unique and delicious. The prices are fair, the service good and the start you off with complimentary won strips.

Stopped by on the way to Ruidoso, solid food.
The food was such a pleasant surprise! Excellent food and service. I recommend this restaurant.
Ordered takeout. Food was ready when we got there. Very friendly staff. We were even given a menu to take home.
The food was hot and really tasty. The portions were HUGE! We could have eaten 2 more meals with all the food we got, so we took a big plate to my dad's, and we still have enough for another meal.
Highly recommend!
Amazing food in Roswell for 30 years.

You get plenty of food for 2 people for one order of food for like 20 bucks and the owner is so lovely she remembers our order even if gone for a few months
Hunan Chinese Food continues to disappoint on all fronts. Their noodles, which should be a highlight, taste as if they were boiled in Roswell tap waterâan unpleasant flavor no one asked for. To make matters worse, they overcharge for this subpar experience, leaving customers feeling ripped off.
Their Mongolian chicken was another letdown. It wasnât bland, but thatâs only because it barely qualified as chicken. The dish was mostly just vegetables with a few sad scraps of meat thrown in. Mongolian chicken should have a bold, savory flavor and a good balance of protein and veggies, but this was anything but.
They previously responded to reviews saying theyâd improve their food, but nothing has changed. The quality is still lacking, and their promises to improve feel like empty words. Like many other Chinese food places in Roswell, Hunan is heading downhill fast. Donât waste your time or money here.
Called in an order that çost 70 dollars and I didn't get my extra sides I ordered and paid for was charged for an extra plate I didn't order and it wasn't very tasty or very happy won't go back
I wish I had read these reviews before deciding to stop in for a quick lunch on the way to Ruidoso. My youngest child, whoâs 8, made the best choice when she ordered only a Coke Zero. She said she couldnât eat at a place that smelled like a sewer. I didnât think much of it at first, but I should have.
The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcomingâI canât say anything negative about the service. However, the food was extremely disappointing. The fried rice tasted more like Spanish rice from a Knorr rice packet than anything Asian. I ordered the orange chicken, but it had a strong taste of orange peel, almost like eating fried orange rinds. The chicken itself was flavorless and extremely tough.
The best thing we had was the egg drop soup, which was just okay but stood out as the best item they served us.
My wife had the Kung Pao shrimp, which was more like Kung Pao celery. She received a few small, bland shrimp buried in a pile of celery. My son tried the Sweet & Sour chicken, but he said it tasted like red pancake syrup poured over unseasoned chicken with mostly vegetables.
Unfortunately, my entire family left the restaurant still hungry, which defeated the purpose of stopping in Roswell. Bless their hearts, but we wonât be back.
Will not go back...
