Ok we ate here august 2022 when we were vacationing in Ruidoso. Best BBQ ever. We are going back in July 2023 for another vacation just noticed it is temporarily closed. Does anyone have any idea if they are planning on reopening?

Barbque top notch, sides great.Now for the problem, THEY ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.Shame as we don't have any other good barbque except in Cloudcroft.

9/10 Best BBQ in Ruidoso, NM hands down. I wish I tried them out a long time ago since I'm a local. I'll be honest the building could use a renovation. This is one of those cases where looks can be deceiving. The building it self might deter you from wanting to eat there but believe me once you try their food you'll be hooked. This became a regular go to restaurant for me and my family. Delicious brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and sausage. Perfectly seasoned and super tender. It may be kinda expensive but it's well worth it. Just as a heads up they do give out coupons/discounts which is really nice of them. If you want BBQ this is the place to go to.

This place is highly recommended by my family. My daughter wants to go again before we head back home. It's so good. We had a brisket burger and brisket baked potato. The staff was friendly. And you got to try there cream corn, not a fan of cream corn but definitely will eat this one.

First of all, I am from Washington and was just visiting the place, but I've always seen and heard of those speculations on how Texas Bbq is always the best. I came to this place with high expectations and it definitely did not dissapoint. The food was bussin' and the brisket was one of the best I've ever had. It was very juicy and flavorful and did not really have the need to put sauce in it. Their creamed corn is also one of my favorite for sides and I still dream of it up until this night. The prices were a little bit on the higher side considering that Ruidoso average salary is on the lower side, but it's still kind of affordable. Parking was also easy.However, the 2nd time I went here which was just a week ago, I ordered pretty much the same thing that I got the last time, but a lot of things has changed. The menu has increased 2 dollars per item, considering I visited just last 6 months ago, that is a heft increase. The meat also was not as juicy or seasoned anymore. The service was still great but the food has changed and I think that quality control is something that needs to be prioritized. Other than that, would still recommend this place, maybe just go on an early morning or late evening when they are not in a rush.

Can you say friendly service? It’s cafeteria style dinning where you order at the counter and grab your own drinks. We had the family 4 pack it’s more than enough tender succulent brisket and Turkey ? breast. You choose 2lbs of meat. Meats were smoked and delicious the beans were delicious and not very spicy the Mac and cheese was delicious and coleslaw complemented the smoky meats well.

Circle J has had it's ups and downs over the years with previous owners, we recently wanted to give them a try one more time. We are glad we stopped by. the brisket and pulled pork was out of this world. The potatoe salad, cream corn as well as the Mac and cheese was creatively delicious, From what I understood the new owner has managed the establishment for about a year. The pit master/ cook is top notch culinary king of barbeque in southern new mexico in my opinion. We definitely have an excuse to come back to Ruidoso for our next mountain retreat.

As soon as we walked in a tall gentleman helped us right away. Gave us instructions on how to order and had us pick drinks. My elderly father needed to use the restroom and both gentleman working were quick to tell us where the restrooms are and both of them were polite and kind. Appreciated that!!! We ordered our food and the brisket was delicious. It wasn't dry. And the BBQ sauce on the table was good. The potato salad and macaroni and cheese was delicious. I'd go again if I was in the area. My father had the turkey and he wished he had an order to go and talked about how good the food was the next day. He's extremely picky so it says a lot when he can't stop talking about the food. ?
Casual dining ordered what seemed like a nice restaurant. Bad thing is I asked for brisket at beginning of service was charged for 3 baked potato mac n cheese and beans where was the meat you say? No where it was not charged but I did get charged all the rest thinking I was already going to be charged for brisket ? poor service

Great place. Good food. I ordered the two meat plates (pulled pork and brisket). It included two sides. I ordered the mac & cheese and creamed corn. It also came with two slices of white bread.Great flavor and a lot of food. I couldn't finish it.Parking: Not a lot of parking spots, but I didn't have problem finding one.
