Downshift Brewing Company - Riverside

Met some fun people here as we rested after a long hot day. My daughter enjoyed her Italian cream soda, I enjoyed a ginger beer, and my husband had a spring fling beer. We'll be back on another day to try the food as it comes highly recommended. The outside seating was lovely.

Way too expensive, tourist trap.

10/10 establishment. I have been here many times and walk away satisfied each time, I order a salad+cocktail and it has always been a treat!

However. I would like to mention when I was coming up to the bar to order another drink during the show last night, I watched a busser not much older then my fourteen year old get his ear lobe rubbed and arm touched by the plus sized adult female in cargo pants working the food area. It made me extremely uncomfortable to witness, it made him look scared/uncomfortable and if that was my son, I would hope someone would speak up against predatory behavior happening at his work place for him as well.

Otherwise on of my favorite places to go in town and will continue to show my support.

Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon lunch here with friends, celebrating one of their birthdays yesterday! Very friendly and helpful staff. We all ordered different items and everyone was very satisfied. Beautiful views and Mother Nature blessed us with a nice downpour! Highly recommend! Thank you for a great time!

this place is horrible, waited 45 minutes just to order, waited almost 2 hours for food that wasn’t even good. this place is not worth your money or time and i recommend going elsewhere plus the restrooms were bloody.

Great beer, food, and service!

Today I had one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had in 7+ yeas of living in Ruidoso. There was a line of about 8 people and the service was quick! Thank You! I've eaten dinner or had snacks with my kiddos here but today was my first breakfast and it was a delight!

Excellent food, and the beers are craft. They give you recommendations and the service is excellent. The place is very cozy and the views are spectacular. It definitely became our favorite place to come to Ruidoso.

Planned a staff appreciation party about 3 weeks in advance. The staff was attentive to emails, very responsive to each need and reached out to me right before the event to confirm everything was correct with the order and the time details. Can’t say enough great about them!!! Can’t wait to do it again in a few months. My staff loved it!

Excellent food, beer, and service.

The place was super clean (including restrooms), provided a great atmosphere, and had multiple seating options, including some overlooking a little stream. We saw the stream, some deer, and had a great time.

I would definitely come back here again!

Waited over an hour for our food. Get more servers or cooks. The wait was ridiculous. We only ordered fries.

We visited twice while in town. The vibe and the service are both really nice but the food really leaves something to be desired. The first night we got the green chile burger and the carne asada tacos. The burger was mostly inedible because of how spicy it was. :( The next night we got the margarita pizza. It was soggy and a little cold. Disappointed in the food but the beer and the atmosphere was good.

Amazing food ( good options for vegetarians and vegans too)! Amazing service and an amazing ambience with a catchy atmosphere! If you visit Ruidoso, this place is a must!

Vegetarian options: There's something in every section of the menu. Sweet potato waffle fries with queso,green chili and jalapenos are the yummiest!!! There's also the fungi mungle pizza that caught our attention and there are a lot of non alcoholic drinks options too!
