Absolutely amazing meal. I had the New York strip. Easily one of the top 5 steaks I’ve ever had. Wife had the vegan enchiladas that were delicious. We shared a stuffed avocado and breaded Chile strips. Two new dishes that knocked our socks off. Staff were very friendly, responsive, and made frequent checks. The owner was engaging and very friendly. Absolutely on our return next year for our anniversary trip restaurant list!

The service here was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and the manager was so kind. Unfortunately, the food really missed the mark for me. I ordered the veggie enchiladas, but the chile sauce was overwhelmingly sweet and so hot that I couldn’t taste anything else. The heat and sugar completely overpowered the dish, which made it unpleasant to eat. I really wanted to like it, but the flavors just didn’t work for me

Good service, amazing food, and a good atmosphere. All of the staff were super friendly and the manager was awesome.
I would suggest getting the queso fries and adding a chicken breast to it. It’s the perfect meal.

Such a good meal! The Steak Salad w/Palisade peaches was delicious! Filet was outstanding and the churro dessert was fantastic!

Excited to see the new offerings and looking forward to a return visit.

MmmmMmmmmMmm!! The fried avocado starter and Brussel sprout side dish were both out of this world. I was also able to request changes to my main dish to accommodate my special dietary needs.

They seem to discriminate against people with children and sat us away from every other group, even though our kids are very well behaved. Smelled very gross inside and the food went very downhill since the change in ownership - tacos and chips/salsa/queso are no longer delicious! Also very poor service.

It's a shame they went so downhill after changing owners. It smelled really musty when we came in but because we had good experiences in the past we decided to stay. We order 5 tacos and chips and queso and french fries. The queso and French fries had 0 flavor. I mean it tasted like flour and air. I asked if we could sit on the patio and was told it was closed , they sat us inside in the middle and proceeded to seat every other group on the patio. We sat alone inside while they filled outside with new guests.to say we felt awkward would be an understatement. It took almost 25 minutes for the food to come and the tacos had one note of flavor...jalapeños. I'm really disappointed to say the least. We won't be coming back.

Since ownership change we have eaten here twice. Both times disappointing. First time rice and beans were not cooked completely through so they were crunchy. Second time was disappointed in southwest ceasar salad. They changed the recipe and it was not near as good. Won't go back because there's better food and quicker service at other places in town.

Under new management. Service is slow. No alcohol at the moment.

This is our go-to spot when visiting Ruidoso, but on our last visit, they wre closed, with no sign mentioning they were going to be closed, even though the website said they were open.

I hope all is well and we are able to visit again in the future.

We were recently in Ruidoso for 2 nights. We had travelled up from Las Cruces after visiting friends. We went to Grill Caliente the first night we were in town; we were so impressed by the food, service and the friendliness of the staff that we went back a 2nd night! Our waitress was named Bella. She was top notch. Very warm & welcoming smile and a highly organized waitress. Dallas was also working the first night we were there. I believe he may be a manager. He was also very pleasant to chat with and gave us some great local off-roading and hiking tips! We didn't meet Mary the chef, but that is where the rest of the magic lies. You must try the Fried Chile Rings for an app. What a treat & not as spicy as you might think. Lightly battered and very crunchy when you bite in. For our main course, the steak and pork tenderloin were prepared perfectly! The NY Strip Skillet Entree was top notch. Quite a bit of heat, but we're from Texas and we like some heat! And the pork tenderloin medallions were spot on as well. Seasoned just right! A nice wine menu to compliment the meal! We didn't save room for dessert, but I imagine the dessert options are exquisite and would round out the whole experience. We'll save that for next time! Until the next time, Grill Caliente!!
