Great location, off the main strip in Ruidoso. A little expensive even for a microbrewery.
Excellent pizza with fresh veggies on top. The green chilis added a nice heat to the pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. I’m not a big pizza fan, but this place made a great pizza. I had a Chilton for my drink since I don’t like beer or wine. The vodka used was great! We will most definitely be back for the pizza! The service was great!
Great location, great building—but underwhelming overall. DownShift Brewing Company in Ruidoso has so much potential with its cool space and prime spot in town, but unfortunately the food and drinks didn’t deliver.
The pepperoni pizza was a letdown—tiny pepperonis and nothing-special flavor. A beer batter crust could’ve been a fun twist, but sadly, it felt like a missed opportunity. The entree salad was very basic—barely chopped and not even mixed, which made it feel like an afterthought.
I tried two beers on tap, including one recommended by staff, and couldn’t finish either. Next time, I’ll probably just stay in with a DiGiorno and a canned Blue Moon. Not planning to return anytime soon.

We stopped in for dinner during our one night stay in Ruidoso. So good! We ordered the chicken bites with chipotle bbq sauce, smoked wings with garlic parm, fries, a village people pilsner and a blueberry lemon drop. You guys … it was seriously so good and the perfect meal after a 9 hour drive. We will definitely be back on our next trip through.
Some of the best pizza I ever had. They put everything on that! And the drinks had much attention to detail.

The atmosphere is relaxing, but I was not impressed with the service or the food. Our food took over an hour come to come out. Would not come here again.

Smelled terrible - definitely a septic problem. Food wasn't very good. Very strange atmosphere. Beer was good though, and the servers were friendly enough.
