Got the Texas BBQ Platter as part of a takeout order and it was absolutely horrible. The brisket was tender but had absolutely no flavor and the portion was a complete joke. Same can be said for the sausage. The beans had absolutely zero flavor. The Texas Toast was chewy, and I don’t know what they consider slaw but apparently they think old, yellow cabbage with no sauce at all is slaw. Threw the entire platter right in the garbage where it belonged. 0/10 chance of giving this place my money again.

They NEVER disappoints. The food was terrific and huge portions. The cost is lower than most restaurants. We always eat there when in Ruidoso. One of our favorites and they accept our pets.

It most be popular, a line, plenty of setting. Will go back.
Typical tourist restaurant. Low quality food. No service. Chicken fried steak was tough as boar’s a** and the green chili sauce was thrown together from a can. Fries were hot but the fry oil was old (my dog didn’t even want any lol). It’s cafeteria food at restaurant prices. Also, there’s only counter service (order and go get your own food). Staff was not particularly welcoming. The deck is good if you have a dog. Won’t return.

We were hungry and tired and just saw this restaurant and pulled in. I'm so glad we did! It was absolutely delicious.
We explained to the waitress that our son had Celiac's disease. The chef made him a beef patty with cheese and hand cut french fries. That's amazing that he took the time to make a meal dietary friendly for my child to eat. We truly appreciate that.
Everything else was delicious as well. We will definitely visit again!
