The food was delicious, but the server was not very knowledgeable about the menu or food.

This place is the definition of false advertising. It calls itself a Mexican restaurant, but the only thing Mexican about it was the name on the menu. The vibe? Confused. The food? Borderline disrespectful.
Let’s start with the shrimp cocktail—if you can even call it that. It tasted like someone melted an ice cube, threw in some frozen shrimp and octopus straight from the freezer aisle, and hoped no one would notice. Spoiler alert: I noticed. It was watery, bland, and genuinely disgusting. The shrimp were still frozen. The octopus? Same story. I didn’t come here to chew on seafood popsicles.
And then, as if my taste buds weren’t already under attack, Taylor Swift started blasting over the speakers. Like… huh? I’m sorry, but who asked for a side of “Love Story” with their supposed ceviche? Last time I checked, real Mexican spots don’t play breakup anthems over botched mariscos.
This place needs a serious reality check. Either fix the food, change the name, or go full Swiftie and stop pretending you’re serving Mexican cuisine. One star, and even that feels generous.

We ordered fajitas for two for date night. Food was great but service was horrible. We did not get the correct order and repeatedly received corn tortillas when we asked for flour. Waitress did not check on us for almost 30 minutes and left us unable to eat the fajitas since we didn’t have tortillas. Finally got another staff member to bring a Togo box since at least at home I have tortillas. We were charged for two of our order and waitress didn’t speak enough English to understand why we were upset. Mind you this is an almost $40 dish. Ended up just paying and leaving without eating in restaurant.

Stopped at this location while visiting Ruidoso… never again. The atmosphere and the waitress we had were nice but the food was horrible. Watered down tea, decent but over salted frijoles charros, bland flavor for the smothered burrito with a really thick tortilla, and the grossest oysters I’ve tried making me straight up gag on the second one I ate leaving the other 10 alone. As for the pros their agua de horchata and chips & salsa were actually good. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this location. Ive heard good about their first location though so I’d try that one first.

I was in Ruidoso for a couple days and stopped to eat at this establishment. Some of the best food I have had in New Mexico that’s for sure. The enchiladas were amazing and the staff and service was fast. Will definitely be back soon. I recommend this place for anyone that is in Ruidoso!

Very poor customer service took forever to be seated and then still made us wait a long time to order drinks when place was empty. Then their buffet was dry and old. Do not recommend.

If I could give this place no stars I would. We were here for 3 hours. The aguachiles were the most vile aguachiles I ever ate. They juice was so thick & had nothing but old lime in it. THE LIME WAS SO OVERBEARING & SO SOUR. The party I was with, also had got enchiladas they had no flavor, the flautas were like they were removed from a refreezer meal & were put to cook in oil. DO NOT COME EAT HERE. (Server was at least nice about the aguachiles, we weren’t charged for them.)

Went on a Sunday afternoon, not busy. Had our service dog and were forced to sit out on the hot patio because the bar tender was allergic to dogs. All tables on the patio were full of dirty dishes. We asked to have one cleaned and were told to sit at a picnic table. Husband needs to have a chair with a back and can’t sit at a picnic table. We found the least dirty 2 tables and had to push them together. We waited for 15 minutes and no one came out to take our order even though 2 parties were sat and served inside: they arrived after we did. After 20 minutes we left but not before telling the rude waitstaff how disappointed we were. They clearly left us sitting out there waiting because we asked for a clean table. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I had the chicken quesadillas, and they were very soggy with grease. Couldn't pick it up to eat it. The bowl of guacamole was very spicy. When I brought this to our servers' attention, instead of doing something about it. She asked if I would like her to let the kitchen know. Well, Duh! The server was very inattentive. We will never eat there again. I couldn't even finish my food.

Horrible place! Go somewhere else.
This place offers a sad buffet on the weekends which has very few options and the options they do have are all extremely mediocre. The service is also terrible and very slow. The waitresses don't check on customers nearly as often as they should. Employees should know attentiveness and overall good service are crucial parts of working at a restaurant. My family and I were looking forward to trying out some food places in Ruidoso, and were extremely disappointed.
Worst gorditas I have ever seen or had. I will not be back!
Horrible sea food and over priced
