We visited Sweet Retreats for chocolates and sat in the patio shopping center, but the owner of Ruidoso Sushi began sweeping her exterior, blowing debris towards us. After requesting she sweep elsewhere, she became irrationally angry, refusing to halt her work due to our presence in a public space, claiming to be the establishment's owner. Had to put 1 star only to be able to share this, does not deserve nothing. Rude lady.

Had five people in our group and to my knowledge, we all tipped but apparently none of them were not big enough for the server. As we were walking outside the door, she followed us out, asked us if we do not tip our servers at other restaurants, “especially with everything going on right now” and told us never to come back.
We ate, we paid, and we tipped, but were chastised for “not tipping” despite there being tips on the checks?
You did not even give me time to write my review before deeming it as “review bombing” and calling us “trash people.” You obviously had time to sit there and watch your reviews come in instead of looking at the checks and seeing there were tips there for you. I’m sorry you felt the need to follow us out and make a scene. If you are that down bad for money, I do not think following people out of your restaurant and chastising them is helpful at all.
Thank you for showing us what professionalism should never look like and I truly hope you find the tip money you’re so desperately seeking and badgering people for.

This place was the only place open for food and I'm very glad it was. Liam was a one man show. He was the server, the Sushiologist, and he cleaned the tables. The Red Dragon Roll was one of the best rolls I've ever eaten and I be eaten that sushi! I'm gonna hit this place up every chance I get when I'm in in this great town

Unlike the name, they don't just do Sushi. We had 3 different rice and noodle dishes. The chicken was tender and fabulous. Spicy tuna roll with added avocado also a win. Curry we truly enjoyed with big chunks of carrots and tender chicken. Make a reservation as they don't normally have room for walk in. Everything was very fresh.

We had a wonderful lunch here last Sunday. Amazingly fresh fish, well prepared and delicious. I'm sure it's not easy to get sushi-grade fish in Ruidoso but this place has it! We will definitely be back. This place is a gem - don't even hesitate - eat here!
All the vegan rolls are pretty good. Vegan and vegetarian options clearly labeled. Very good considering.
We got the rainbow roll and las vegas roll. Both were delicious. The server was super friendly and took good care of us!
