Our food (an appetizer for an entree and elk steak) took FOREVER. By the time my ridiculously over cooked, over seasoned elk steak arrived, we didn't have time to send it back to make our plans afterwards. Everything else was just bland. Our drinks also took forever to get from the bar and they were made wrong.

I ordered a medium steak and my husband ordered medrare. His steak came out more done than mine. Then when I asked them to cook it up a little because I’m pregnant and can’t eat it that raw I got back a charred piece of leather. Not sure who trained their cooks but I’ll gladly retrain them myself because I have been the steak cook at a fine dining restaurant and I can 100% cook a steak better than that. The server was nice but he was so quiet I could hardly hear him. I Do not recommend this place for a good steak. Texas Roadhouse does a better job.

I was visiting my boyfriend in Ruidoso for Valentine’s Day weekend, and Texas Club required reservations. So we make a reservation two weeks in advance. We ordered wine, an appetizer, and our entrees. We then proceeded to wait two hours for our meals after speaking to a food runner and our server twice about the situation. The food runner was very apologetic, but our server gave no explanation as to why the service was slow until we paid. She said the kitchen was backed up. Where was that explanation two hours ago? We left without eating dinner and only paid for drinks and the appetizer. Horrible service. Crappy Valentine’s Day evening. Many other tables waited hours for their meals too. Don’t require reservations if you won’t provide exceptional service to your guests.

Dinner with a reservation for the our group and for that night which was reservations only for Valentines was a total dining experience. We got lost in all the crowd of food orders, etc. and it was a very long dinner over 2 1/2 hours never saw anyone else go through this during our dinner only our group saw a lot of people come and go Experience probably won't go back. I've been there quite a number of times also kind of sad.  like i said saw a lot of people come and go

We were in the first group of reservations on Valentine's Day 2026, every glass on every table was filthy, every window was filthy, my husband's side of the booth had a hole in the vinyl upholstery the size of a dinner plate. My chicken was dry, and his crab cakes were the most unappetizing color we've ever seen. He ate one, smothered with cocktail sauce, then gave up. He dissected one and found it mushy, gray in color, and completely inedible. We have never been super-impressed with Texas Club, but this was the final nail in their coffin, DON'T BOTHER!!!

Awful. Took almost 2 hours to get our food, party of 4 adults 3 kids. Restaurant didn't hesitate to stick us with a 20% gratuity charge for a waitress we saw twice. I'd go to McDonalds before I'd go here again.

Our initial experience was exceptional, largely due to the outstanding service provided by Denelle. While the steak was satisfactory, Denelle's service was truly remarkable. We subsequently returned on a Sunday, but unfortunately, Denelle was not working. On that occasion, we experienced a 90-minute wait for our meal, which was disappointing.
Two weeks later, my husband and I returned, specifically hoping to be seated in Denelle's section. Despite our request during the reservation process, we were informed by the manager that specific seating requests are not accommodated. We find this policy concerning, particularly as we then waited 20 minutes without a server attending to our table for a drink order.
We believe this policy demonstrates poor judgment and is unfair to an excellent waitress. We question the rationale behind denying a customer's request to be served by a particularly attentive individual.
