First time stopping at the Owl Bar Cafe during a long road trip, with no idea what to expect—and I’m so glad we did. The moment we walked in, the place felt nostalgic and rustic, yet warm and homey at the same time. I loved all the owl decorations and the dollar bills covering the walls—such a fun tradition with a great story behind it.
The food didn’t disappoint either. The chili hamburger was delicious, and the onion rings were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. This unexpected stop turned into one of the highlights of our trip, and it’s definitely a place I’d visit again.

HORRIBLE SERVICE, we showed up & not one waitress acknowledged us but 3 gentleman sitting at the bar did let us know we could sit anywhere. We sat for a few minutes never even asked what to drink from waitress, one of the gentleman at the bar actually asked us what we wanted to drink. A few minutes later 1 of the 5 waitresses walking around finally took our food order. Tried the famous burger and fries, burger was dry but fries were excellent. Although we ran out of ketchup and when I politely tried to get one of the waitress attention as she walked by us, she completely ignored me 3 times. Luckily the guy at the bar enjoying his drink actually stood up and asked what I needed. Told him we just needed ketchup and he got it for us, very friendly. Went to pay the lady that ignored me took our money didn't say a word to us. NEED TO WORK ON FRIENDLINESS AND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

Totally overrated. Would be 2-stars but leaving 1-star for the undeserved hype. Mediocre burger, flavorless nachos, only canned or bottled beer. Lousy service. Our nachos were sitting on the counter for 10 minutes getting cold until someone bothered to bring them to us. The older lady at cash register totally unfriendly. Won't be back, not worth it.

Love this spot! We come to Socorro county once or twice a year and have been hitting up buckhorn but I’m fully sold on the Owl now. Great atmosphere, full bar and the burger is phenomenal. Nothing fancy, just a great all American burger, the way it should be

Always great food and service. The staff here are so friendly and attentive. Bonus, any money you pin on the wall they donate to charity. They have a list of all the places they donate to. The Original Owl Cafe is the best place to stop for great food.
