Very peaceful location. Plenty of pool options. Rooms were very clean. Power went out as we were packing up, but otherwise, we had a lovely stay.
One of my favorite places to stay. Extremely clean and friendly staff.
The drive back to this resort is well worth it. It’s a gorgeous view, the resort is super clean, and the restaurant selection was delicious. Having multiple pools, a pool with a slide for the kids, made this quick trip well worth it.
Lovely get away with beautiful views and clean accommodations. The menu at both the Tamaya and the corn maiden are sadly disappointing . No flavor plain thrown together ingredients without any love invested in the food. For the price it's not worth it .. for example saw an interesting salad om the menu for lunch . It turned out to be a plate of couscous with some pastasios and augala on a plate . For 18!! Even adding chicken didn't help
We had such a lovely stay at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort during our visit to the Albuquerque–Santa Fe area with our family! The suite was perfect—connecting rooms made traveling with two teens easy, and we were right next to the main pool with gorgeous mountain views.
We enjoyed lunch and drinks poolside, breakfast daily at the Santa Ana Café, and most dinners in the lounge. The Pueblo bread-making class was a unique highlight—worth the extra fee—and the bread was delicious! We also borrowed bikes to visit the nearby stables, and the s’mores each night were a fun touch.
The rooms were recently renovated—fresh, clean, and decorated in a beautiful Southwest style. The resort had a great mix of families (babies to teens), couples, and adult groups. It felt busy but never crowded. We always had space at the pool and never waited for a table at restaurants.
The staff were friendly and attentive everywhere—from the pool and restaurants to the front desk, bar, and store. They were especially helpful when we had AC issues at check-in and later when we accidentally locked ourselves out.
We’d love to return to New Mexico and would definitely stay at Tamaya again. Highly recommend!
Great place to get away. Within a few miles of the express way but very secluded and quiet. Tucked nicely into the Rio Grand flats. Great nature walks, we saw deer, turkeys, rabbits. Great pools, restaurants and planned activities.
We come to The Tamaya a few times a year and this was a horrible experience with their staff. The pool staff is incompetent of providing any kind of poolside customer service. Ordering food or drinks takes 45mins to an hour. Don’t expect them to check on you or anyone in your party. When we had to get up to order our drinks the said only the pool waiters can order for you but they never come around. When I asked why they were so delayed the bartender rudely said “ we are busy can’t you see” That is never a response I expect from a staff member. The dining experience was also under staffed. The front desk staff doesn’t know the correct times the restaurants open. Over all the service had went down hill compared to previous times!
My room 3248 was amazing with a nice balcony very exclusive the housekeeping were super nice I love it.
Rooms were lovely. Comfy beds and nice pillows. and Salt water pools were amazing. Food at room service was such a disappointment! Bring your own food or eat before. Lots of neat stuff on resort grounds: golf course, several restaurants, local artisans, bar and coffee shop, stables, walking and biking trails, cultural center tours and more. Santa Ana Pueblo land.
Love, love, loved!!!!! Beautiful resort with so many things to do! Walking trails, horseback riding, bicycles to rent, three pools! Amazing restaurants on site & the rooms are spacious. We will definitely be coming back! Sister golf courses are located here as well, Twin Warriors is within walking distance

We have been here multiple times. The property sets a good distance from the highway so it’s nice and quiet. The walking trail that goes along the River is in the shade most of the day. These pictures were on my walk about 10:30 a.m.
I have heard nothing but great things about the Tamaya Resort, however, my experience was not that. My friends and I went there for a friend's birthday celebration and we arrived an hour after check-in and couldn't wait to swim. When we went down to swim, the pool attendants told us that we couldn't swim because of lightning (which is understandable) so we wanted to get drinks and just sit by the pool. Apparently drinks stop being served at the pool at 5:30pm which in our opinion is when most people START drinking so that was very disappointing. We left and got ready for our 8pm dinner reservation at the Corn Maiden. We thought since the pool closes at 10pm, we could swim for an hour after dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant a minute before our reservation, we were seated right away but weren't greeted by our waitress until 10 minutes later! We asked for water and drinks as well as complimentary bread. Another 15 minutes go by while we see other getting drinks and the waitresses help and we finally get our water, whoch the waitress spilled all over our table. We asked about the alcoholic drinks and bread again. We then waited another 20 minutes until the drinks came out and another 5 minutes until our bread finally came out. The food was okay, way too much sauce and dressing and way too pricey for what we got. The waitress then forgot about us again when we tried to get our check and had to wait another 15 minutes and after asking another waiter where she was. We asked the front desk on our way to change for the pool just to confirm the pool wasn't closing until 10pm and they said yes, it's still open and this was at 9pm. We got changed very quickly and ran down to the pool which was pitch dark and our key cards would not let us into the pool because apparently they decided to close the pool early, at 9pm. Wow, thanks so much. Another disappointment. The staff has no communication or knowlwdge of what the heck is going on.
Our room was beautiful but as the night progressed (we had our balcony door closed at all times) more and more bugs like beetles and spiders and flies were coming in from who knows where. It was disgusting and we couldn't sleep very well. When we went to eat in the hotel dining room for breakfast, a different waitress forgot anout us for 10 minutes and I had to ask another waiter who our waitress was. She didn't tell us if we needed to order from the menu or the buffet with our breakfast package. The entire time we were there we were not paid any attention to by our waitress. When we wanted to leave to go swimming finally, she was no where to be seen. We waited another 15 minutes for our vheck which forgot twice after we asked for it.
Swimming finally was allowed to happen for us and we wanted drinks by the pool since it wasn't happening the day before. We were told by the pool boy that the bar opened at 11am. Okay, so we waited. 11am, 11:30 nothing was happening at the bar. We asked someone else, they said that it opened at 12pm. Wow, great. So our check out was 12pm and that's when the pool bar opens?! So most people don't get to enjoy a drink by the pool at all unless you check in right at 4pm and go to the pool at like 4:30pm and can enjoy maybe one drink before they close the bar? Not customer friendly and they don’t think these things through at all. So ridiculous for the extremely high price tag. Will not be going here EVER again. Horrible service for the price.
This place is beautiful! Great customer service and just a beautiful resort in general
We rented a cabana..service was so slow and food mediocre.
They need to hire more servers
