Best breakfast ever!I’m so glad that it wasn’t closed. I hope it never closes. In fact my grandparents spent their honeymoon night at the Drifter hotel over 55 years ago! Love this place! Thank you for all the memories. ❤️ The Staleys
The moment I stepped into the room the cigarette smoke and old mustiness hit my nose like a torpedo. Looking around I could see the dirty baseboards and walls and stained blankets, behind the door was a filthy used towel from the last resident. I went to the front desk and asked the owner for a refund, I could not stay there and I told him why, he immediately started yelling at me, called me a liar, claimed I must have stuck the dirty towel behind the door, the man was INSANE!! DO NOT book this dirty motel, leave it to the roaches and the crazy owner!!
Wasn't open even though the sign said it was.
It's a family-owned Hotel with the nicest hotel service ever. It looks old on the outside but the rooms are updated and the bed is memory foam and just amazing. No bugs and very clean. Free Wi-Fi and cable. The area has a Walmart nearby and lots of food and everything you need right near the hotel.
Old and smelly motel. We stayed in 226. Bathroom was dirty, the room smelled like soap, and no WiFi internet. It’s only works at the front desk. The owners lied to us that the internet connection works everywhere. It clearly didn’t. Go to Holiday inn- it’s the same price and better hotel!
The restaurant is currently closed but the room, bed and front desk people are excellent. The price and location are very good as well. Every thing was clean and although the motel was busy it was still very quiet except for the traffic on the highway going through town.
Great place to bed down for the night.
Really nice staff
What's to say about the pancake house where everyone in town eats? And it's across the street from Denny's. Unlike Denny's, the Drifter is not a corporate chain. The Drifter has its own decor including porcelain tile, woven wicker window screens, 270° overview of busy Silver City, or sit on the other side of the table and watch the social dynamics of half the city's police force. This is not a bunch of cubicles, this is social eating. And the service is Speedy Gonzalez fast. You can't drink. 1/3 of. cup of. coffee and breakfast is served. I appreciate the ingredients are not overly processed food. The cheese. the green chilies and the eggs are the real deal. I like my English muffins a little more toasty, but they were piping hot. So if you're looking to take a gander at the social scene of Silver City, the Drifter Pancake house is it.
Great breakfast included with the room.
