We were road tripping and asked our hotel front desk clerk for a good Mexican restaurant. We're from Southern Oregon and don't have really good authentic Mexican food. We were given this establishment from our front desk lady at the hotel. Oh my, what a recommendation! Thee best Mexican food we have ever eaten. Both my husband and I were highly impressed. The menu specifically suggests asking for a sample of their homemade red and green spicey sauces due to having some heat to them. The green was amazing, and I never had anything compair. The red sauce was super good, too, just a bit hotter than I wanted. Their guacamole was made with jalapeños and was dank (super duper scrumptious)!!! The drinks hit the spot after a long drive, too.

Great food. Had a bit of a wait for lunch. The food took quite a bit of time to arrive, but it was very good. This place was nicer than expected from the outside. Definitely recommended. It seemed to be the most busy restaurant in town for lunch on a Wednesday. A little on the pricier side.

Love this place from the first day we moved here. ❤️ As most places they've increased prices but quality and quantity haven't changed, which is the most important. Their chips and salsa are fresh and flavorful. Their chicken is real, not canned. Beans and rice have a great New Mexico flare. Staff attentive.Very busy place.

Very good service from staff! I had a meal here a few years ago.Today I had the three taco plate. Refried beans were OK. Spanish rice was very good with bits of carrots, red&green peppers, texture is good.Tacos: chicken-savory taste and tender meat. Loaded with iceberg lettuce, some cheese, & a tomato slice. (Not generous with the amount of any of the meats, but understandable considering the skyrocket prices since COVID-19 & the unscrupulous suppliers gouging their customers.)☆ Overall the best taste and texture of the three.Taco: beef-ground beef, tasteless.Taco: pork-real & chopped better taste than the beef. Meat was a bit chewy.Chips and salsa usually an appetizer gratis, menus cost was $3.50Jalisco Cafe? Not really. Four plus years in Guadalajara with many opportunities to enjoy Jalisco cuisine, the only Jalisco I found was the typical decorations from Mexico, the cafe name, recorded music and maybe somewhere in the past an owner or chef may have had roots there, but the meal I had was a poor representation of that Jalisco. I am jaded for sureMy review is harsh and I miss my friends in Mexico.Street tacos of Jalisco was my hope. Aroma from the garnish of cilantro & onion and a squeeze of limon is the only appetizer needed. The food assembled in front of one while ordering allowed customers a totally open view of prep and assembly. But Americans want everything Amaricanized either from a lack of taste or imposed FDA regulation.I have no desire to return to Jalisco Cafe.I have been spoiled!

Server was nice and friendly. Food was disappointing. Ordered rellenos and cheese enchiladas with green sauce. Had asked for Christmas but was told that wasn't possible.? Green sauce nearly tasteless. Asked for a side of red sauce and finally got it after we were nearly done with our food. Red sauce was spicy but not particularly flavorful - just hot. Ordered guacamole - over $7. It tasted like something you would buy from a mix - not fresh or flavorful. The salsa was the only thing that saved all the dishes to our taste. When the bill came, we were charged an additional $3.59 for the chips! Ridiculous and the menu plainly stated the guac comes with chips. Who would order guacamole without chips? Had to challenge that and waitress had that charge removed. Looks like a very popular spot but not one we would return to or recommend.

I ordered enchiladas, the beans were too watery, the sauce was too spicy, bot enjoyable. The waitress asked if we want chips and sauce, and on the menu they hace a cost, she did not mentioned, in the same way when we ordered the enchiladas she said if eggs are fine, also she forgot to mentioned again that egss have extra charge, and on the menu dont said thatBad experience

Everything was good except for our daughter's meal. She didn't get it with all of our food and it wasn't pleasant for her.
