Today is August 17, 2025. I normally rave about the Javalina, but today was the worst experience. I was with my wife, as she sat down I approached the counter. The young man initially did not acknowledge me, but when he did speak to me it was with an attitude. This surprised me because the baristas are normally very pleasant and helpful. I gave him my order (I was the only customer at the time), which was done in record time. When I started to retrieve the drinks he remembered he forgot to add the syrups: he did so after the fact. He did not apologize and tried to justify his lapse by stating it shouldn't affect the flavor. Well, he was wrong. The drink was terrible, and my wife was very disappointed. I would recommend to the owners, who are very nice people, please avoid having this individual serving the public. He either needs better training or should be released from his position.

BEST coffee house in New Mexico. I love the owner, she is so kind and thoughtful. She makes your drinks with care and attention. She does everything she can go make her customers happy. And bonus! You can sit and watch her sweet baby play while you enjoy your coffee. What more could you ask for?!

Make sure to only go when the owner is there working. Not the guy with the long hair, he’s not the best barista, and usually seems under the influence or is passed out on the couches ignoring people. The coffee he made today tasted straight up like latex.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Silver City. Friendly staff, friendly guests, and environment. The coffee is amazing!

The coffee I ordered was ok. The service was quick and friendly. The prices were fair The place was a bit odd and interesting. Not sure about the interior and the random array of stuff for sale. It was nice that they have information available for the area. Plenty of seating available. There is a small patio in the back. Plenty of street parking.

They serve coffee in styrofoam cups. Not very green of them. Also could not taste espresso. Just sweetened milk. Ugh. Bathroom toilet is very dirty. Furniture is dirty.

This spot is super cute and offers a great variety of flavored coffees. Our favorites were the Abuelita Latte and the ButterBeer Latte—both were delicious and unique!
However, I was a bit disappointed with the retail section. Their racks were mostly empty or had a few second-hand items, which wasn’t quite what I expected. The page mentioned they have pastries, but the only options I saw were two unlabeled brownies, which looked like leftovers.
While the coffee is definitely worth the visit, a little more attention to the shop’s details and offerings could make the experience even better!
