Wasn't sure what to order so tried a combo plate with green chile. There wasn't much chile, and what was there was very bland - no heat whatsoever. And the sopapillas tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the fish. Not sure what I should have ordered that's getting the good reviews, but this wasn't it.
All of the locals eat here, so we decided to give it a try. The Mexican dishes were very good! One of the most authentic chile rellenos I've had in the U.S, and the tamal masa was super light! Bargain prices as well.

Nancy's is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, incredible home style New Mexican food: green and red chili, outstanding chile rellenos, fresh sopapillas for dessert or with coffee. Sadly they have been closed due to lack of staffing the last two times I've passed through town at lunchtime (a month apart).

My friend took me here for lunch that lives in Silver City while I was visiting him for a couple of days. Place was busy but were seated right away. I had the 3 ground beef tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were just like I would have made at home! Good! Just wish they had different meat. Rice was really good to. Good service. Very reasonable prices!! Really enjoyed my lunch. Would recommend to go to!

We traveled over 1,500 miles stopping at various eateries. Nancy's was at the top of list of best places to eat. It's the best mexican food I've had since my grandmother's home cooking. In addition, their, made from scratch, cherry pie was exactly the perfect topper to a delicious dinner.
