There aren't too many eating options in sleepy Socorro on Thanksgiving Day. So we ate at the only open establishment, the El Camino. And had a good experience. The atmosphere and decor is from the sixties, in a good way, with country and western music playing gently in the background. The menu is Mexican American. Portions are generous. Got take out from here while staying next door. Very helpful staff and super friendly. Wait time was shirt considering that it was Thanksgiving and they were crowded. No pics of the meals but they were very large portions and I did get a picture of the dessert! The food is excellent. Highly recommended.
