As little as 4 years ago this restaurant was a first-class experience we looked forward to when staying in Socorro. We walked in during the evening of 17 April to find the place open but completely deserted. The near-empty parking lot was the first clue. A paper sign on the entry door proclaimed it was now cash only - no credit cards. Another on the chalkboard inside advised "No Alcohol - No beer or wine." The menu, also on a small chalkboard, consisted of 4 styles of hamburgers. We left and went to an older, rather shabby restaurant down the street. What has happened to this town? The Smith's supermarket is closed and the entire structure painted over with a dull tan paint. Trash blows across the empty parking lot.

"Disappointing Dining Disaster at Socorro Springs: Avoid at All Costs!"

As a self-proclaimed food aficionado, I must express my sheer disappointment and utter dismay after dining at Socorro Springs. This restaurant is the epitome of everything you don't want in a dining experience. From the lackluster ambiance to the atrocious food, Socorro Springs is a culinary catastrophe waiting to happen.

Let's start with the ambiance, or should I say lack thereof? Walking into Socorro Springs feels like entering a time warp to the 80s, with its outdated decor and dim lighting that only serves to hide the unsavory truth lurking within. The atmosphere is as lively as a cemetery on a rainy day, leaving patrons feeling as if they stumbled into a deserted wasteland rather than a bustling eatery.

Now, onto the main event: the food. To put it bluntly, the cuisine at Socorro Springs is an insult to taste buds everywhere. The menu reads like a sad attempt at culinary fusion, with dishes that lack creativity and flavor. The so-called "signature" dishes are nothing more than a haphazard mishmash of ingredients thrown together with little thought or care.

I had the misfortune of ordering the "specialty" burger, and let me tell you, it was a mistake I won't soon forget. The patty was overcooked to the point of resembling a hockey puck, and the toppings tasted like they had been sitting out for days. It was a sad excuse for a burger, and I couldn't even bring myself to finish it.

As if the food wasn't bad enough, the service at Socorro Springs is equally abysmal. The staff are as unenthusiastic as they come, displaying all the warmth and charm of a malfunctioning robot. It's clear that they couldn't care less about providing a pleasant dining experience, leaving customers feeling neglected and unappreciated.

In conclusion, dining at Socorro Springs was a mistake I won't be repeating. From the dismal ambiance to the atrocious food and lackluster service, this restaurant is a prime example of everything that can go wrong in the culinary world. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of Socorro Springs at all costs. Your taste buds will thank you.

Went on Sunday with out of town company. Arrived at 2:45 pm because website had hours of 2 to 8 pm on Sunday. When we arrived, paper sign on door said 4 to 8 also had a sign, no longer serving beer or liquor. Someone needs to update website!!!!!

No alcohol. We walked in and were met by the disgruntled owner who strongly encouraged us to eat elsewhere. So, much like the owner, if you're reading this I encourage you to eat elsewhere.

Restaurant was cold. Waitress was not friendly, never offered a refill on drinks. Food was mediocre, definitely not worth the price.

Sigh. I think this town is going through staffing shortages and hardship like everywhere else, so I want to say a lot of our experience was out of the control of the restaurant. First, they do not have an alcohol license anymore so there is no wine or beer. The wait was quite long with only a few places to sit and wait. One of the servers was clearly very stressed and after we were seated very nice, but extremely short and a little rude to any waiting parties. The food was fine? The pizza crust was thin with no chewiness or give, and the toppings tasted ok. The feta on our pizza was the most flavorful part. They do have some good options for vegetarian toppings. They also seated us in the back despite there being plenty of room in the front - the back was freezing and the smoke alarm battery kept going off. I think the servers and cook staff are trying their best with very limited resources, but I sadly would not recommend here if you are expecting the experience from years prior.

Very disappointed! No more brewery and sign is still up! No fountain drinks! No heat! Absolutely freezing! Salads served with dinner, so our pasta was cold by the time we got to it. The iced tea was good. The waitress felt bad but it sucked.

Stopped by on our way back to Albuquerque after visiting Bosque del Apache and will not go there again. Burger was dry and tasted just okay. The frozen fries they use are pretty good. Seems like a place run by someone without a lot of experience in the restaurant industry. Building is strange and it’s hard to tell what it was originally. It was uncomfortably cold inside the first week in December and we had to wear our coats.

Don’t waste your time. False advertising on the exterior street sign! No beer, it’s not a brewery & they don’t make wood fired anything! Wait times are ridiculously long for the place only having 2 tables at the time I was there. The short fat bald guy walking around with the bad attitude is clearly taking too much steroids. The owner from another restaurant down the street was telling me he went out of business from a previous restaurant he had a few years ago, they are definitely on the same path, his cute little high school sweetheart should run before he spends up all her money!!
