I got a good start when I called and the person who answered the phone didn't speak English. (When I got here, the server spoke enough English./ I got a better idea as soon as I sat down and she brought me tortilla chips with very spicy salsa. I had a late breakfast: the Frida's omelet, which is smothered with that same delicious salsa. The menu didn't list prices; I think I spent $22 with tip.

Mi Cocina in Clovis had a 30 to 40 minute wait late Sunday morning, so I'm glad I came here instead and didn't have to wait.

My wife and I dropped by Frida's for lunch at 2pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025. While the restaurant provided us menus without any pricing, the wait staff was friendly. We ordered chicken tacos and beef quesadillas. Food was tasty but didn't come with rice or beans or any sides. On checking out, they didn't provide us a bill but just asked for $20. It seemed that they treated us unfairly so we'd recommend avoiding if possible.

This place is awesome. They serve the best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. Not your typical big city Tex-mex! Their service was great and they have the most friendly, accommodating and appreciative staff ! If you are anywhere remotely close, it is worth the stop.

Our quick stop for lunch was not in vain as the food and people were great. My sons ordered menudo (big and small bowls), and they loved it. My youngest usually have a leftover when we eat out, but not today as he was like a hungry wolf.

We found this place on our way to Texas while trucking, and I’m so glad we did! They serve authentic Mexican food that’s absolutely delicious. The menudo, caldo de res, and enchiladas were all fantastic. Their salsa is incredibly tasty and reminded me of my great-grandmother’s homemade chili. I even bought some to bring back to California so my aunts could try it! The customer service was excellent too. Highly recommend stopping here for a great meal!
