We visited on Tuesday night, December 31, 2024. Coming in from the cold, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. There were probably 6 or 7 patrons there, and the lady who waited on us was very polite and accommodating.

The food was really good, and the red sauce was very hot, which is how I like it. For about $7 we ordered an endless supply of chips, which she brought to us in two baskets since there were 5 of us. Finally, I checked and this place uses vegetable oil, not lard, in their kitchen.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, great food (I took the taco combination, highly recommended). A real gem in Alamogordo area!

Usually this is a great place but tonight was underwhelming. Not very busy, sat fast , drinks quick then we waited and waited for or meal. Went through 2 baskets of chips then only half the meal came. Several minutes later my chicken fajitas came and were just warm. The corn tortillas were heated up so much they were almost taco shells. Saw our server but she never stopped to check on us until the end.
Hopefully this is just a bad night for them.

Very disappointing! As a visitor coming from Dallas, I’d say food tasted so bland. Tortillas and taco shells were soggy. We waited for over 50mins to get our food despite the restaurant not being crowded at all.

First Mexican food restaurant where we had to pay almost $8 for chips and salsa. Everywhere else serve these as a courtesy.
