Our experience was not great. Breakfast was not busy and we did not mind the wait for food. Everything came out at room temperature or cold to the touch. We assume the French toast was already at room temperature before they dumped cold fruit toppings on it. Service started terribly, but picked up by the end of the meal. The prices vs quality and quantity of food was not a good value. $15 for the breakfast burger and has a tiny pattie and does not include any sides. It's convenient but may be better option to bring something, or make the trip to Carlsbad.

I would suggest the asada tacos meal with beans and rice. I also if you like avocado get two sliced because they’re not that large.. Two eggs over medium but runny inside and you’re good to go… If you get to go they package nicely too. Great eats and fun deco inside restaurant and pleasant place to visit. Thanks for the good service always… 👍🏻

Cute little place and pretty much the only eatery from Carlsbad to Guadalupe Mountains so we decided to stop in for a good burger. 3/28/25 It was all really good, but also very very pricey for the portions imo. But of course we didn’t let that stop us from getting what we want and enjoying it!

We were staying at Whites Inn just a street over for our vacation and had the opportunity to eat here one day, and then decided to again the next because it was very good! The place was small and not crowded for breakfast both days, but we also went less than an hour after they opened in the morning. The wait staff were all very nice and friendly! They didn't have chocolate chip pancakes on the menu, I will definitely recommend they consider adding it, but they offered to put some on for my son... it tasted just like a cake! So good! Everything we had was delicious! My wife had one of their breakfast sandwiches, I had French toast, we had waffles and bacon, and the sausage was very good too! Food was an easy 5*. The pricing was not bad at all! I think we paid $50? $60 for 4 ppl, which on vacation isn't bad at all! The only thing I would say negatively, and it's not even a bad thing persay... tone down or change whatever they use to sterilize the bathrooms, VERY over powering!

Very calm, very demure environment. They were understaffed but what can you do? Staff is very friendly, the hostess is one of the nicest ones I've met. Our waitress was also very polite. Nice vibe and atmosphere. The salsa was on point. And the burgers were very delicious.

A great little stop on the way to Carlsbad Caverns or if you’re in the area for work! My Poblano hamburger and fries were delicious, others in our group had beef and steak fajitas and they both said theirs was fantastic as well! I highly recommend this restaurant

After a week on the road throughout New Mexico, my husband and I went to the Caverns and ended up here for some late lunch. The food and service was very good. We both got burgers and it was very tasty. We also got chips and salsa and the salsa was great. The restaurant seems understaffed but they were very polite and even informed us of running behind before they even sat us at table. We would recommend this restaurant.

Went to Cactus Cafe yesterday, 10/09/2024 for a birthday lunch…service was wonderful, great customer service, atmosphere pleasant, Southwestern….comfortable….food was GREAT… between us we had four different entrees and each was excellent…would highly recommend Cbad, make the drive it is well worth it!!!
