Amazing! Food is prepared FRESH when ordered by a very talented Zuni Chef (Lyle Bowannie) who is very polite, friendly and funny. The owner (Celia Tsabetsaye) is amazing. She offers full authentic cooking classes for a very reasonable fee and after eating at their Bistro you will want to learn.
Memorable visit - Kind courteous and informative hospitality; excellent traditional food
We had the privilege of eating lunch here and enjoyed the company and stories of Lyle and his Mom. This place is clean comfortable and attractive .... and the food is authentic, tasty and fresh. From the outside its tricky to spot thd Bistro initially, but just ask anyone in this lively and welcoming community.
The service is slow due to chef making the order to perfection.
Great Place for Great Eats...

We had a wonderful meal at this little bistro. Creative versions of native and Mexican dishes. Warm friendly hosts.
There were few customers and don't know why they couldn't get the food out right away and other customers had to wait and they mess up their order. I had to wait 45 mins and other waited longer. Hope it's better next time.

Stay away!! VERY slow service and over priced meals for the area. McDonald's serves better burgers. Much better option is Chu Chu's pizza.
Spotted the unassuming sign while looking for a restaurant in Zuni. Excellent choice. The exterior of the building is modest looking but the interior is just amazing. We had specialty sandwiches after enjoying a small order of nacho chips. Everything was made to order. The sign outside promises traditional foods with modern adaptations, and everything is excellent. It isn't fast food! Everything is made to order. Restaurant seats 24, and various configurations are available. We chose a table for 2 and it was more than adequately large.
Not a good one waited for our order for more than an hour..

If you can find Zuni, New Mexico then you can find the Bistro in the heart of this spriritual pueblo. Sure the lemonade is nationally known; sure the family run (elisa and lyle) food facility is a treasure; sure the menu runs the gamut from traditional mexican to Native American fresh baked bread. But you don't want to waste time when the clear cut champions of the kitchen are the spinach artichoke green chile dip with fresh made corn chips; the green chile mushroom and beef stew; and enchilada made with red/green chilis layered w/cheese and your choice of onions or not. you will not finish; nor will you be able to identify the amazing flavors that chef lyle lovingly distributes into each and every mouthful. the veggies and fruits are seasonally included upon request. there's an entire segment of menu for the uninitiated like patty melt, all beef dogs, chicharrrone burrito-----salads; steaks on friday and thursday evenings; Bistro is open Tues-Fri 9am to 7pm with full breakfast menu; Saturday brunch is 9-2. Sunday and Monday closed. Price is fair fare and portions are close to being a complete second meal later. Parking's out front. The Bistro's right in the middle of Zuni and everyone knows where it is. A must do in Zuni.
