Best fish and chips I had in my life, actually I change the fries for salad . Glad for the fish chowder recommendation, it was fresh and delicious.

Aways great food & great staff! They went above and beyond to make me a lobster roll last minute, before they were even open for my nanny’s 99th birthday! We even got to get her a piece of fresh pie & both were a hit ❤️ so thankful to have this restaurant in our community! Thanks again guys! Appreciate you all!

Had a 2 piece fish and chips tonight. Fish was very good but the French fries, and I am not a French fry guy, were absolutely outstanding. Nice friendly service.

It's a part of our summer to hop on the 4 wheelers and head from Parrsboro to Advocate every year... and our first stop is always the Hook and Anchor! Friendly staff, delicious food and a beautiful view! Thanks again for another amazing meal!

Mom is not a very good cook, Mom's special sesfood chowder was no good

I spent $50 for 4 very soggy, very greasy pieces of fish, did not get the 2 gravy I asked for, extra tartar sauce, or extra onions on the burger. When I called to let them know, there was NO apology, only excuses. They offered a credit but didnt explain what for and said they would remember me because I had a blue car. Do not recommend and will not be returning.

We ate here while staying at the Campground recently and can say the food/service was excellent. Its easy to see this is a popular place to eat as the parking lot was always full and it was easy to see why. We had the seafood chowder and feel it was the best on our trip all around Nova Scotia. The staff were super friendly and the environment very laid back/low key. There was a little wait for our food which is understandable as its a busy spot but worth it once you have a taste. We'd eat out here again in a heartbeat. Thanks!!
