We explored Amherst, Nova Scotia, today and ended up at The Old Warehouse Restaurant and Lounge. It was awesome! The atmosphere is very welcoming and laid back. We had fun playing pool.
Coming from Newfoundland I am always apprehensive about ordering fish and chips. Well what a wonderful surprise!
It wasn't cod, which is different for us, but it was just as good. It was 2 very generous pieces of haddock, excellent fries, coleslaw and an excellent tea biscuit. For dessert we had the toffee pudding which I highly recommend.
All the staff were so kind and attentive.
We really scored!! We will most definitely be back again on our next trip to Amherst...one of Nova Scotia's hidden gems.

enjoy some Fish & Chips it was really yummy and i'm a Chef in Toronto at George Brown College. The Owner of this Place is really nice she was really Friendly and warm welcoming a beautiful soul best Fish & Chips plus the cold slaw. I will return again for sure i love the way i was treated here. Thank You

Great service! Great company, good food. Loved having this place around for our short stay in Amherst! Nicole was an excellent, super hard-working bartender. She definitely deserves a big pay raise!

Was recently in Moncton and was heading home to New Glasgow when I got lost . When I got back on track I was very hungry and stopped in Amherst. Not knowing anything I put food in my maps and it took me here. I was tired wet and hungry. The waitress Britt was so calming and kind. Made me feel relaxed and happy. I ordered chicken strips and fries and most importantly coffee. All were delicious. Then to top it off she said the sticky toffee desert was a favourite of hers. And is now a favourite of mine. I am so glad I found this place especially on a Sunday evening.

The place smells musty as hell. They claimed to have the best wings in town but they are just some cheap breaded wings that you can get at Walmart. The onion rings were delicious and very crunchy. The waitress was very slow as she was busy taking with coworkers while we sat and waited. My girlfriend's chicken Caesar wrap was large and delicious. The deep fried pepperoni was a little thicker than I've had before and I enjoyed that.

Went here for our first time.Had a good experience first but it quickly went south when the bartenders partner walked in and was very rudeWill never return again

I had THE BEST (in my opinion) wings very at this place! Outside was crispy, but also very soft and juicy inside! Couldn't compare it to any other wing I had at other wing places. Then again, I went at like 10pm, it was only finger food was they had at the time.

I went in the mid/early evening to enjoy their karaoke and an appetizer and a beer. I’m not much of a drinker, but I love singing. I had 1 beer, and ate my food with my friends and was having a great time. I went out for a smoke and when I came back an older man claimed I had to be kicked out. It came out of nowhere, for no reason, nothing happened. I think it may have been the owner. I asked why I was being kicked out and he said I was intoxicated and falling over the place? Except I wasn’t intoxicated at all, and I didn’t stumble or fall. He just have seen someone else do that. When I tried to talk to him about it and explain that there must be some sort of misunderstanding, he was really mean to me and just wouldn’t have any kind of conversation. He treated me like I was a waste of his time. I was so upset that I was almost in tears. I felt like he targeted me and was being malicious for some unknown reason. That has never happened to me at any other establishment in my entire life and I won’t ever be going back. They didn’t value me as a customer whatsoever. I was just a waste of their time. I collected my friends and we went to a different place in town and we didn’t have any issues for the rest of the night. I highly suggest if your wanting to go out with friends, don’t go to this place if you don’t want your night to be unexpectedly ruined.

The food was good but the portions would only feed a two year old

Amazing service and equally incredibly flavored food. Visiting the area but will return whenever we are here again.
