Recommended in the Nova Scotia Foodie Travel Guide. No cachet, it is in fact a small café annexed to a service station. The coffee machine had been faulty for 2 weeks during our visit. Definitely not worth the detour...

What a fun little cafe. Very friendly staff and good coffee, sugar cookies and sandwiches. Great place to pick something up to take on an a picnic to the beach or lighthouse or any place with a view. In fact we are going back tomorrow.

What a lovely place! Great coffee, service, and the peanut butter balls were recommended by a local and they are worth writing home about! I will be trying to recreate them at home.

This is a cafe built by the community for the community and visitors all over the world. The cafe itself pays homage to the story of its community and people while also offering modern and traditional food and beverages (no alcohol here!). They will decorate for holidays and donate to many local organizations. While it is a cafe, it also doubles as a gas bar. So feel free to gas-up your bikes, boats, trucks, cars and campers all the while grabbing your favourite coffee/treat from this charming little local store.

Amazing service, really clean, super cute cafe shop. They offer alot of locally made goods which is just amazing! They sell all kinds of cute little knick knacks. They also serve food, and drinks (fresh coffee) and have a little seating area, which was also amazing. I recommend going here! Specially if your from out of town, and wanna get something collectable or cute, beachy Cape breton vibes.. this is a good place to stop in for treat or two while you gas up!

Family member accidentally forgot to pay for gas. Owners contacted police and police tracked them down to let them know they forgot to pay. The owner proceeded to post pictures on Facebook after the police have already done there job. This is a small close knit community and the owner Lisa does this often. She has apologized 2 days in a row to costumers about simple misunderstandings about her quick fingered posts on Facebook. I wrote a comment on Facebook and there are actively getting deleted even tho nothing vulgar or mean is being said. This establishment just lost regular customers.
Had a quick coffee got a helpful tip where I could let my pups run wild , which then led me to take them to pet valu for a dry ;)!!!

The strawberry scones were one of the very best things I've ever tasted. SO GOOD! All the food I tried was great, but when I stopped back in for scones to take home with me I was disappointed by the server. She seemed very disinterested in interacting with me.
