Bread is fantastic, I usually buy from Noggins, but I’m posting specifically about the Wolfville Farmer’s Market. I find it really gross that staff are blowing their nose into Kleenex, tucking used Kleenex into sweater sleeve, then handling bread and money without washing or sanitizing hands. This was specifically an older white lady with short grey hair. That’s disgusting. However, on other occasions, I have observed staff using gross handling practices, I.e., gloved hands packaging bread, taking money, making change, then handling bread again. While the bread is good, and I’ve only ever seen this practice at the Wolfville Farmer’s Market, it’s offputting in the extreme.

Love their sourdough bread! Wish I knew more places in the valley that sold it besides Noggins.
Best take and bake pizza ever! Also the treats! Don't miss out on the giant seed cookie! Looks a bit odd but tastes amazing 😍

Fantastic breads and treats, and also great frozen pizzas and soups. And they have an interesting selection of German meats - it's worth the stop! One caveat - I found their coffee/lattes to be watery (and sometimes you get a surly helper). Still worth it to go for their baked goods!

Just a fabulous bakery with excellent fare just outside Mahone Bay. I wish there were a similar bakery in my hometown.

I am from Atlanta GA and had the pleasure of discovering these Cinnamon swirls at Petite Riviere General Store while camping at Rissers Beach Campground on vacation...I purchased 2 swirls and they were the best I have ever eaten...Since the General Store only gets a shipment on Fridays, I was not able to purchase anymore...So on our way to visiting Halifax for the day, we made a detour off of Hwy 103 to Blockhouse and stopped at Boulangerie La Vendeenne...where I forced myself (Yeah right!!!) to buy 8 more to enjoy in the mornings with a cup of tea...But the story does not end here...That following Friday as we towed our camper to our next destination, we stopped at the General Store and purchased 5 more Cinnamon swirls (Like I was going to pass on that oppourtunity!)...As of today, I am down to only 1 1/2 swirls left and they are just as good out of the freezer and warmed as they were fresh in Nova Scotia!...I sure wish Boulangerie La Vendeenne would ship to the US as I would certainly enjoy ordering some for special occasions!
Sticky buns to die for.
