This is one of Bridgewater's hidden gems ...when ever I have to visit the medical Arts building ,I make sure to stop and taste what's being served..the corn chowder here is an awesome treat..with a tea biscuit ..or a coffee and bagel..it's a great stop for lunch and the lady that runs and owns is very nice an accommodating...

Its not a school lunch room. Been there twice, food was good (like homemade), but is a little expensive for the amount you get. Anyways, after reading some reviews of customers having similar experiences, I know it wasn't just me. Needless to say I did not leave a tip when I paid with Interact. She was nicer when she brought us the food and was joking with some of the regulars that were stopping in. Maybe share some of that kindness and humor with the rest of us paying customers?

We stopped by for a quick lunch. They have a relatively large menu with great prices. Lots of sandwiches, salads, soups, and sweets to choose from. We had haddock chowder and it was incredible! It was a large bowl, and came with a warm tea biscuit and crackers. On the way out, I grabbed a couple of chocolate zucchini muffins and they were delicious too! We will absolutely, without a doubt, be back!

The food was decent, a little more expensive than expected however supporting local is much more important to me than saving a few bucks. It seemed to be short staffed possibly, but the person waiting on me was not the nicest. While reading the menu i was told to "give her a minute" in a harsh tone when i wasn't even fully inside the cafe at that point. There was a major lack of customer service skills. It did not take long at all for the food to be ready which was pleasant, however, while waiting, other customers coming in were not greeted politely and the employee was very disrespectful. To top it all off, when paying for my food it was already set up with a tip added, which i took off. I really hope that the employee was just having a bad day and this isn't the norm for this cute, convenient cafe. I've heard great things about the place and was excited to try a small local business, but due to my experience I don't plan on going back any time soon.

Friend went there for brunch and experienced the worst customer service she has ever had. The employee(or owner, not sure) was rude, entitled and rushing. After being hateful the entire time, she set the debit sale up to include a 15% tip before passing it to the customer and my friend had to go back and remove it. The customer service experienced by the following customers was even worse. It is safe to say…nobody in there at that time will be returning.
We have been going here for years and it is always a pleasure. The food is excellent - all homemade, the establishment is so very clean and tidy, and the staff so friendly. We take things to go now no matter where we go because of Covid, and they are well prepared to wrap things up to go. Our only complaint - ever - is we like our coffee strong, and theirs is like most other restaurants, the typical mild brew. But it is hot, which helps. Even the meats in their sandwiches are cooked and sliced on the premises. It is truly a gem!

I took my mask off after I ordered and paid at the counter and sat down to my table as is the rule for all restaurants. When she brought my food, she kept her back to me and pushed my food across my table at me backwards so she didn't have to come near me. She said "Sorry but it's hard to keep 6 feet away from you". I guess because my mask was off?? No other servers at any other restaurants in Nova Scotia do this rude gesture. And then when I was finished eating the tasteless haddock chowder, the place where the dirty dishes go was on my way out so I put my dirty dishes there. The server hollered at me "DON'T CLEAR YOUR TABLE!!" YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED|!". i thought ,...ok omg put a freaking sign up telling us that. Extremely uncomfortable place to eat for the first time. And it will be my last.
