This is my first review of any restaurant. Today was my third visit to the cafe. I decided to have breakfast and they took by order, my name and I sat inside. I waited for over half an hour and no food, which I thought was odd as there were just three people there when I arrived. I didn’t want to be rude and pester the staff. When a waitress passed by I asked about my order. It happened to be sitting on a counter for quite a while and it was completely cold. When I told her, there was no apology and she said that she could reheat it - reheat fried eggs and sausage? Then she said that they could cook it again from scratch. I just left. I should have asked for a refund. This is the sort of slackness that invites a bad review.

My coffee and cookie was fantastic! However the cook in the front was rude and unpleasant. It ruined my experience which I will never return. If you can’t be friendly and nice to those supporting a local business then you shouldn’t be working frontline. After spending $22.00 here I expected better quality and service not a frustrated worker for making my food wrong and it being brought to her attention which led to a rude attitude and rushed remake. Don’t spend your money here unless you want a negative environment.
what can I say....the food is amazing, the service amazing, the atmosphere is great.. so clean and comfortable.. only place in town I can eat , enjoy and get the type of foods I like.. love it !!!!!!
Fancy Pants Cafe is a destination stop in Bridgewater. Put it on your list. The atmosphere is a living organism, from the lighting to the decor to the unbelievably pleasant, wonderful staff. FPC take immense pride in their standard of service and how they treat people, and rightfully so; an ongoing lesson for other businesses in making your people your purpose.
The food and drink are carefully curated, consistently prepared, and delicious. As always, you will pay a little more for small-business and quality - but as a multi-visit-per-week customer, I'm confident in saying that you get your money's worth. My personal favorites: cold brew, smokey bacon & smoked cheddar (breakfast sandwich), chocolate crinkle cookie, chocolate pepito.
+ A+ food and drink;
+ A+ atmosphere and service;
+ Generous "punch card" loyalty program (drinks);
+ Indoor and outdoor seating options including canopied picnic tables;
+ Consistent experience makes every visit pleasant and worthwhile.

Food is consistently delicious...and if you are an Espresso lover there is no better on the South Shore. As an Espresso connoisseur and multiple visits to coffee cafes throughout Nova Scotia - Fancy Pants IS the place.

What an awesome place! Excellent treats, lunch looked fabulous and OMG the coffee! Loved the friendly staff Dee and owner Haley(?) My group of three had wonderful time a d many laughs!
Lovely little Cafe and Eatery in the heart of Bridgewater.
Order at the counter and choose a seat, then they bring it to the table if it takes longer than just pouring it.
Great coffee and lots of other fancy beverages to choose from, delicious sandwiches on very lovely bread, not the usual. And the hot chocolate, hm, hm, hm.
Wonderful staff, I had ordered the chai, and it was very spice loaded, it wasn't for me...after 2 sips I decided that I wouldn't be able to stomach it. The lovely lady behind the counter took it back and sad, oh yes, that is the extra spicy one, next time say you want a mild one, and got me a fresh, lovely milder version.
Everybody is super friendly!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.
Parking: Sometimes the parking lot is full, with seating outside when the weather is nice.

I got the “potato leek soup” a few weeks ago and I can’t stop thinking about it because it was *that* bad. No hint of potato, leek or cream. It was blended celery and carrot soup and tasted like straight up baby food. I thought they’d given me the wrong soup but nope. I had 2 bites and left it. This has been my 3rd and last time eating here as I’ve been disappointed every time and it’s not cheap. Unfortunately the menu needs serious work. If you’re straying that far away from a classic dish you should let customers know what to expect before they order it.
