We visited on a very busy Sunday when many of the local pubs are closed. There was also a LOT happening g in town that week, so the servers were overworked and a little stressed.
We ordered beers and beef nachos and we were very pleased with what we received.

I'm sure had my bf and I hit this place at a perfect time..this rating would be a 5 out of 5. I'm very impressed with the manager hustling to work hard and our server lady was great.
However, the wait times...wow. I know they were trying their best and this review is for management (not the manager on today). The wait was long....so long that the supper rush was starting and they still didn't have cutlery or tables ready. The food was cold and I couldn't possibly bother our server about it.
So a host/busser would have been ideal or even another server really.
I doubt we will be back...can't risk another $104 bill for cold food and melted drinks.
Again ...the servers were fantastic considering their work conditions.

Cute atmosphere, nice servers, food was reasonably quick and definitely yummy! Recommend đ Thank you (GF options)
Went in looking for breakfast but must only be in Bridgewater that you are SOL for getting a breakfast in the mornings.
Had an absolutely awful experience here. My wife is a vegetarian, and there is nothing on the menu for a vegetarian other than a salad and sub par nachos. Normally, we take a look at the menu before we go but this was an impulse stop in. We tried to make some swaps and changea to accommodate the dietary needs and the server was great but the manager would not help us out with swaps at all. Do not go unless you enjoy sub par and expensive nachos if you're vegetarian.

This was our second visit to The Local. We missed the Sunday lunch rush this time, so service was faster and food arrived within an acceptable time. We all ordered steak toasties and they were delicious. The serving staff were friendly and engaging. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Bridgewater.

Went in on a Monday afternoon. Place had more staff than customers. Ordered food and after 30 minutes had still received nothing except drinks.
The food might be good or not, I wouldn't know. Definitely wouldn't recommend unless you like sitting inside a middling pseudo pub with no food.

Terrible service. 5 of us went to have lunch today and waited 45 minutes. Never got our food. The waitress wouldnât even come back to our table. She kept washing tables next to us and didnât look over to see us trying to inquire. Nothing we did would have made her upset and we ordered basic brunch menu items. Worst experience ever. So disappointed in this place. It used to be great, never have we been treated like that ever. Will never be going back. :(

Five of us waited an hour for our food, server wouldnât come by or make eye contact after about 30 minutes. Then disappeared. We gave up and left, we were starving!!!!!! Other tables that came around the same time were not getting their food either.
We had a party of 8 and we all had potato skins which used to be very good. Last night they were over done, and we paid 3.50 for extra cheese which was only thrown on the top. Then a mouse ran through the restaurant right by our table!

Four couples booked a reservation and expected a nice time. We all had drinks and ordered 5 orders of potato skins and wings. Asking for extra cheese on all the skins orders hoping they would layer them but was just pulled on top of burnt skins. All orders were rock hard. I spoke to our waitress twice about them and she just slugged it off. And the mouse that ran up the stairs to where we sitting was not amazing. Very disappointed in the entire time.

Decent food, but dessert took far too long to be served.

Iâm not one to typically review a place, but this has been our new favourite place for date day. I usually go with the chicken quesadilla, and another appetizer for us to share. This time around we had the Spinach Dip, it was to die for. Your meals are always so good, the atmosphere is amazing, and the service ? If youâre lucky enough to get Tiffany as your server, youâll be well taken care of. She is so kind and attentive and always makes sure we have everything we need!
Iâm already looking forward to our next visit

Great food and a great atmosphere.
Food is great, everyone is nice, professional, but the bar is absolutely not geared for my generation with a highly unspecific bar menu with no specific cocktail options and lacking in basic, foundational, popular choices of drink. If you desire a citrusy or iced tea based cocktail, you're not going to find anything here. They squinted at me while I was asking about it like a hard to read label, honestly with knowledge of alcohols harm, prices soaring, and less gen Z buying drinks whilst out eating than ever instead of a bottle from the NSLC, I don't know how they expect they're going to keep the bar business going into the next generation here, clearly the generational gap just made the whole bar side of the experience very uncomfortable just trying to enjoy it but apart from that, everything else is always a pleasure. The food is just great. Always a nice treat.
