We stopped in for lunch as we were working in the area. The chicken, bacon ciabatta sandwich was delicious! If you’re looking for great food, friendly service and cold drinks this is the perfect spot!

AMAZING spot that we were so lucky to stumble upon! Highly recommend the food, atmosphere and service. Best chowder we’ve ever had. Charcuterie board with in house made rhubarb chutney and local cheeses and meats. You would not regret finding this place.

This was our second time and it was just as delightful as the first. The three of us started with the nachos, the mussels, and the caprese salad. Then, we each had the special seafood Po Boy Sandwich. The portions were ample and the food was delicious.

Ben, our server, was great! Courteous, professional, attentive, and he had a great sense of humor.

We'll be back. Very soon.

From the moment we entered we were greeted warmly by the owner. The food and the service was outstanding! Highly recommend!!

Our evening at Dickie’s was amazing! The wine was as lovely, the service was OUTSTANDING. The atmosphere was so pretty, so relaxing, we absolutely loved it. We both had the tenderloin with scallops.. such a treat! The scallops were buttery & silky. The tenderloin was served with roasted baby potatoes that blew my mind, and the tenderloin was as done to perfection! If I could give it 10 stars I would!

This is a restaurant that just keeps improving. Every time my family and I go, we have a better experience than the last.
Last night Erin greeted us at the door, and recognized us as regulars. She brought us to a great table, was super upbeat, kind, and didn’t skip a beat. That kind of personal greeting and care really puts this restaurant a cut above most others in the Valley.
Not to be outdone, the kitchen and bar absolutely knocked it out of the park, with one of the best meals I’ve had this year. The fresh vegetables, the seasonings, the presentation, it was all an absolute knockout.

Can’t say enough good things! Dined here solo while in town and the food, service, and atmosphere was impeccable!

Dickie-Baxter is a gem! We loved everything about our meal - the food was as delicious as it was beautiful. The attention to detail in the presentation was impeccable. It was hard to choose what to have as everything on the menu looked so good! I selected the sumac-crusted salmon. It was delicious!
The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive to our dieatary restriction, which is always nice. Service was fast (but not too fast!).
The atmosphere at dinner is very nice - some music but nothing obnoxious, tons of beautiful plants and local art (for sale!) give the place a true artsy vibe.
We finished off our meals with some scrumptious deserts - rhubarb pavlova for me (to die for!!!) and raspberry mousse cake for him.
I highly recommend a visit to Dickie-Baxter and I look forward to many meals there in the future!

We absolutely love the atmosphere here! It’s always warm and welcoming. Erin is fantastic she consistently goes above and beyond, remembers us every time, and truly makes us feel at home. Her kindness and attention make every visit special and the reason we can back.

Decided to drop in here on the way to go camping. Got a drink and some mussels and was very pleased with the quality of the food and drinks as well as amazing service from Erin!

Our waitress, Erin, was so bubbly she added our first time there more pleasurable than we could have expected. The food and atmosphere was so superb tlwe halve to give this a 10+. But Erin went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and was fun to chat with. She even took a salmon dish on the menu, listen to what I would prefer and the chef created the most tasteful style salmon with roasted potatoes and asparagus above and beyond what I expected. We've eaten here before & the food was great so we decided to order 4 charcuterie boards for a party we were having. THEY WERE AMAZING! Cured meats, cheeses, marinated asparagus, beets, marinated onions, thin sliced pickles, tomatoes, etc. Also included came freshly made breads. Everything was locally sourced & very fresh. It was one of the best charcuterie we've ever had. THANK YOU guys for the wonderful service!

What a pleasant surprise! Only in Canning one night and D&B was recommended by our B&B host. A delight, from the opening very local dry Pay Day cider to the closing dark chocolate torte. The only thing better than the whole haddock and the steak and scallops was our server, Erin: friendly, attentive and clearly on top of the menu. A very enjoyable evening in a pleasant setting.
