We've had some great food on the Cabot Trail but this really stands out as great food from anywhere. Casual but so delicious. Don't miss it if you are nearby and even just a little bit hungry.

Had seafood chowder, chicken club and mashed potatoes, smash burger and salad. Everything was high quality. People in the kitchen are skilled! Thank you.

Fantastic spot to get lunch on the Cabot Trail, with some of the best mussels I've ever had. Damn good lobster roll as well, perfectly cooked breaded with a slight char on the outside, soft on the inside and buttered lobster. Poutine was decent but definitely not the star of the show. Great drinks and service here as well, very homey atmosphere here.

Don't think anyone can go wrong stopping here while on the Cabot trail.

The food was great and the vibe was good (The history of the restaurant is written on the back of the menu for local history nerds like me)

Morrison’s has that perfect mix of fast, modern service and old-country charm — it feels welcoming and homey without being run-down or outdated. The chicken club sandwich was excellent, and the fish and chips came with a big, crispy piece of fish that really hit the spot. The fries were just okay, but everything else made up for it. It's also fully licensed with some good local beer and cocktail selections.

It’s also in a great location, sharing a free parking lot with the nearby museum and garden, so it’s easy to make a nice little outing of it. Stop in for a hearty meal, then take a stroll next door — it’s a perfect combo if you’re exploring the area.

Food and beer was great. Location right off the Cabot trail makes it extremely convenient while exploring cape Breton. I had the fish submarine and it was very fresh and tasty. The portions were huge for the price. Highly recommend
