“Sept 2025:
First time back in years and SO glad I came! Breakfast at 9am on a sunny Saturday. I was the only customer seated in the rear/main dining area. Very friendly service. Delicious free banana bread while you wait, that tastes like it is made with corn meal vs flour. Delicious Naan Bread Breakfast Wrap. Burrito-style presentation with very maply-flavored bacon & scrambled eggs, mozzarella inside. Drizzled with balsamic & mango. Side salad & potato wedges cooked perfectly make this very filling. Due to being in a bit of a rush, I got up to pay vs waiting for the bill. Then realized a mug of hot rosehip water was waiting for me, so had a few sips of that and wish I had time to finish. Can't wait to return.
2020:
*Note that this is two businesses in one kitchen - which I didn't realize until today when I went for the 2nd time. The owner Eli explained that he does the Caribbean food/lunch/later day menu and the Breakfast Bliss on weekends is owned by someone who rents the space. I love both. He is so friendly and very informative about the dishes, cares about your personal preferences, etc. We sat in the back dining area and were the only customers this visit. I tried the Jerk chicken lunch special which is a breast and leg on top of rice & beans. Delicious and although spicy, not as hot as thought it could be, very juicy, filling. Eli suggested the mango punch to go along with it and that was very flavorful as well, a bit creamy. My friend had the BBQ chicken lunch special and really enjoyed the flavor of that as well, eating every last grain of rice on the plate and every scrap off the bone. LOL Both come with a mini pitcher of their respective sauces, if you wish to pour more over the plate, which we did. I want to try everything else on this menu, including some of the dessert made in-house!
Tried Breakfast Bliss for the first time on a sunny Saturday in August 2020, taking one of the tables outside (they have two picnic tables and I think four regular tables) right along the sidewalk. Lots of available street parking. Didn't see their interior dining room which is out back. Menu items are printed on pieces of plain paper and hung on the wall when you enter. The counter and kitchen are fully open so you can see what's going on. Staff of three or four people were busy working away, very pleasant and friendly. I ordered the Eggs benny ($17.50) with bacon (option of avocado too) on an English muffin (option of a buttermilk biscuit I believe) with potato wedges (also option of a salad). Took maybe 10-15 minutes to arrive but that was fine as coffee was served immediately with a large glass bottle of water. The meal was great and I was very full. They have a lot of sweet breakfast dishes that I will be back for soon.“
