Great staff and an excellent pint of Guinness.
Best patio in Dartmouth, with a surprisingly clear view of the harbour.
The local watering hole. I'd recommend Celtic to anybody whose looking for a drink & good time, but prefer to eat elsewhere. If you're hungry try the steak boxty.
Great service, nice selection of beer
I found the food was good and the prices were reasonable. The only thing I didn't like was we waited a long time to receive our food after ordering. Not sure why this was as there was very few people in the restaurant at the time.
Great place to meet up with friends
Food here was pretty underwhelming. Also took a while to get our waitress but it was a full house so it was understandable. Shell of our pie was really dry, and the inside was pretty plain. Fish n Chips also didn't taste too fresh, and it wasn't very crispy. With both of these being their 'signature' dish I imagine the rest of menu is the same or worse. Overall vibes were good for a pub though!
Food was good and server was great. I did catch a bar fly kept staring at our groups female friends and made them uncomfortable so we had to switch seats it was kinda creepy

Had a great time here! I went here with a friend. We ordered the munchie platter, mac n cheese balls and the soft pretzel with mustard. Everything was delicious and the service was very quick and friendly. The amount of food in the munchie platter was fantastic for the price. There were 6 wings, 6 mozza sticks and a mountain of onion rings, tater tots and potato skins. It was all very crispy and not too greasy. The mac n cheese balls were very tasty as well. Rich and creamy with a crispy coating and a flavourful marinara sauce. We had lots to take home for leftovers. I'll definitely be back!

This was our second visit to this pub across the street from Alderney Landing. Our first visit was at lunch time and the pub was quiet and the food was great. This second time, the food was still superb, and worth the noise. Can't complain about the noise, we're the idiots who went to a sports bar during a rugby match! But mention it so other folks are aware. We had chicken fingers, Trinity Steak Boxty, and shepherd's pie, with sides of butternut squash soup, and all were exceptional.
Vegetarian options: Not a ton of vegetarian options, but they do have a very nice spinach salad as well as a few other items I haven't tried.
Parking: We parked in the Alderney Landing lot, which is free evenings and weekends but doesn't always have space. Before 6 pm you'd need to pay to park. There's also metered street parking on side streets nearby.

A good pub where you can find not just what to drink but to eat well to. The menu is quite big and varied. The atmosphere of the pub without some deep entourage but well maintained(Wood will always be held in high esteem). I liked the small half-wall between the common zone and the bar counter - stylish and convenient to create a comfortable feeling behind you when you sit at the counter and still be in the common space. Friendly staff. The prices are normal.
My wife and I ordered Tall Ship beer and a lemon tea. Pretzel with mustard. And Trinity steak boxty and Steak & Guinness pie for main dishes.
In fact, for a $5 I would like 2 Pretzels instead of 1, but if you are taking it as a snack. If you are taking it as a bread for the main meal, 1 is more than enough.
Both main courses were very tasty but it was a bit disappointing that they gave us the same side dish in them.
Parking: There is a good parking lot a block west of the restaurant. It is paid on weekdays and free on weekends.

Went here last week for lunch with a family member during Truth and Reconciliation Day. We were looking for some place different and I had heard good things so decided to give it a try.
After joking with someone in the main restaurant about how you had to go through the Joseph Howe "park" and cross to the parking garage we ascended the stairs to a lovely rooftop patio. It was vibrant with some fun paint choices and decorations and some good music at just the right volume so as not to make it hard to hear conversation. The views of the city and harbor were amazing. It was also very clean despite there appearing to be only one server at the time.
The server was polite, and well put together which you could see via his being well-dressed and groomed. He was knowledgeable about their service and able to answer a couple of questions off the top of his head.
He was also very accommodating and had no problem with us switching tables before our food came due to being right next to some women who seemed to be enjoying a few spirited beverages that afternoon. I could see they were clearly enjoying themselves and I was happy for them but their boisterous laughter and chatting made it a little hard for us to carry on our own conversation.
Our order was taken and our food was delivered in a very timely manner. You could tell the food was hot and fresh. I wanted to try something outside of my usual orders so I ended up getting a potato pancake which was filled with greens and steak strips. It was delicious and I'm so glad I tried something different. My fries were also hot and fresh so really enjoyed them as well. My family member had the shepherd's pie and commented on how it was the best thing they had had in quite some time.
The server was polite and easily maked small talk while we were paying the bill. He managed to make my family member laugh at something witty he said.
Will definitely be going here again in the near future.
Parking: It is downtown Dartmouth so if you're expecting to find a parking spot at peak hours good luck. Parking is usually free in the evenings and weekends so that's a plus
Wheelchair accessibility: I did not see a separate access to the patio besides the stairs that we took and if this is the case it might be difficult for someone who has mobility ssues.
