I always get takeout as I don’t enjoy the loud band . The food has always been delicious but the portion size is HORRIBLE . Last time we ordered from there my husbands shepherds pie was CHILD SIZED ! Was still hungry after he ate it . Same with my turkey dinner - it delicious but you only get one small scoop of potatoes .
For the cost of these meals they should be good size !

If you prefer a place where people go because they prefer to be seen …don’t freakin go to Colleen’s. You want to eat real home style food. You want a drink at a reasonable price. You want servers that make their living giving great service ? You want a place without gambling machines. And on top of that live music several nights a week. This is the best kept secret in Halifax. I don’t need to say more.
This is absolutely my new favourite place in Halifax. Corned beef. Hot sandwiches. A wicked egg salad sandwich. Fired Clams. Fresh cut fries. Fish. Steak. You just gotta go. No pretence this year just a solid food experience.

It was ok , very basic and mediocre for food , I seen pictures online and I was excited as they appear to have allot of homestyle cooked food. When we first walked in the atmosphere seemed awkward/unwelcoming but I chalked it up that we weren't regulars , they couldve been stressed as well , we did however enjoy the live singing/guitar . The decor of the pub itself seemed like a cool place to hang out. Would be good for an entertainment night.

Nice little diner in Dartmouth. My wife had the Fish and Chips and she loved them. Little disappointed that the tartar sauce was a package of Kraft. I had the club and it was average, at best. Service was great. I would definitely go back, but I would order something different. Probably the Fish and Chips!

Had the corn beef and cabbage. The cabbage could definitely been cooked long and there should have been more of it. Kind of disappointing 😞
I ordered the corned beef dinner. The corned beef was the best i've had. The only thing is, the vegetables were not cooked in the broth. Which gives the vegetables, another level of flavor. Also, there was not much broth to put on my corned, beef. Just a tiny little serving. My wife had the lasagna. It was all right. The only thing is, when you cook the hamburger for lasagna, always season the hamburger then add it to the sauce. And the sauce could be used a little bit more garlic. And worcestershore sauce. The caesar salad was delicious.
