I expected this too be a rather nice little spot based on reviews. Food was adequate, service was horrific and it had the atmosphere of an old original 1910 bar that locals never tore down.

The food and service were great! Very friendly and welcoming staff. The live band is loud due to the small space so might not be ideal for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I got the crispy chicken sandwich with a caesar salad, the chicken was fresh and perfectly cooked and the salad actually had enough dressing on it, which I definitely appreciate since most others places are quite stingy with the dressing on salads!

Hubby & I stopped in for brunch...it was delicious!! Colleen is the Best. The entire staff makes you feel like an old friend. We highly recommend this warm, down-home pub. You won't be disappointed.

I had the salt cod and pork scraps. I found it a little too salty(hence salt cod), and it was a bit dry. I thought the onions and scraps would’ve been mixed in with the fish, like a scramble, but the fish were big pieces. Maybe that’s how NFLD does it? Colleen was the sever today at lunch and she should’ve had help then. It was very busy and she doesn’t work often due to her health and age. She had to sit at your table to take payments because of her health and she would have a chat with the customers. She’s like a mother and makes sure you have what you want, but it was hard for her. I’ve been there quite a few times and I recommend the corned beef and cabbage, on Thursdays!Parking: Limited parking space, however it’s on a side road so you van park along the secondary street to other businessesWheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp to the one level building

Colleen herself served us and was so wonderful. The food was classic, delicious local restaurant fare done just right. There were even toys for kids! The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks Colleen!

Took family there for supper and will not eat there again. Nice quaint place, good entertainment but food wise our 1 piece fish was oozing with grease. Haddock tips were 30 seconds shy from being burnt in the fryer. Fries were soggy in all our meals and they forgot our side dish. On a side note onion rings were good. Nice place, staff but the food was not edible.
