Love this place! Really authentic tacos and such nice people. Apparently, they're opening a new location in downtown Halifax.

El Este is fairly unique in the city and the food is good. It’s served fast and is generally fairly good quality. However…..the chicken that they used for our food was quite bad. It was nearly all grissle/connective tissue. That ruined an otherwise good meal.
You won’t get more real tacos in Dartmouth than this place

I was really excited but ended up disappointed. We had the tacos and the burrito. The tacos were favorful but a bit watery, and soggy. The burrito was disappointing. It said “with rice and beans” on the menu which meant there were some inside, i thought it would come with rice and beans on the side. The burrito had next to no flavour, and I ended up waiting till I went home to eat with salsa.
It’s hard to find good Mexican food in Halifax but I won’t be going back here. To me it was on par with a chain like habaneros, where at least you can customize and they add salsa!

In my beef burrito I had chunks of fat in it. The food tasted like it was made a week ago. It was so bad that I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs . We both couldn't finish it and went to McDonald's instead . That's how bad your food is if McDonald's is a better solution. Will never go back or recommend.

Seems authentic not Tex mex, well made fresh and tasty, could use more cilantro and heat but very filling.
Parking: Few spots out front and plenty on the street side.

Service was super fast. I arrived at 7:45 pm ordered a veggie burrito and a chimichango. The listed price was $12 and $14 but I was asked to pay $32 and there was an expectation of tip on top of that. Watch out for the billing amount. Ask for a receipt as the guy tend to overcharges.
