Low key place - fantastic food and great beer selection. We were trying to find somewhere that wasn't pretentious, and this was the perfect spot. You can sit outside and watch the bay, with the ferry crossing Halifax Bay. The food was excellent (we had the lobster roll) and the staff was very friendly. It is a walk-up order for both food and drinks, but they still cleared dishes and brought the food out when it was ready.
A fantastic place for fish and chips with great value, as a visitor from Toronto!
I came here with my family of 4 and we ordered the Small Family Pack ($70) which came with 10 large pieces of fried haddock and two large fries, the jambalaya ($20), and some soft drinks. The grand total was ~$120 including tax and tip.

Evan’s Seafood is my go-to place on Dartmouth waterfront.
Previously I thought their lobster poutine was my favorite. But after I tried their scallop sandwich, I have reconsidered my decision.
The scallops were fried with the right amount of time, still tender and juicy but definitely cooked. The salsa and coriander on top added to the delicious taste and made the taste of scallops standing out even more.
Would love to bring friends back.
