Genji Sushi is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The staff here aren’t just friendly, they’re genuinely invested in making sure your meal is perfect. They’re always within earshot if you need anything, and they anticipate your needs before you even have to ask.
The food comes out impressively fast, yet never feels rushed. Every dish, whether it’s sushi, hot entrées, or appetizers, arrives fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The sushi is especially delicious, with perfect texture and seasoning, and the variety on the menu keeps you coming back for “just one more plate.”
Cleanliness is another standout here. From the tables to the bathrooms, everything is spotless, which makes the whole dining experience feel even more comfortable and welcoming.

If you like Asian food, Gengi its a must try! Incredible amount of options especially for appetizers. Many more options than other asian all you can eat places.

Terrible. Used to order here quite a bit both dine in and take out never had an issue and always left a fair tip.
Put in an order for take out, spent over $70 got home and every roll had fake crab meat no fish in a single roll. I understand sometimes there may have to be substitute due to shortage of some fish etc but they straight up ripped us off on the whole order. We eat sushi quite often and have ordered the same rolls previously. I will never go back. Save yourself and order from some of the many other places in Dartmouth.

Shut down by the Nova Scotia Environment Inspection, Compliance and Enforcement Division Apr17/25. Laundry list of ridiculously disgusting deficiencies. I wont be returning.

Was a regular customer, health inspector just closed the restaurant down with the following the say:
>Container full of raw fish observed on the floor in sushi bar during inspection.
>Do not store raw food items of animal origin (eggs, meat, etc.) on top of fresh vegetables. Do not store raw eggs above ready to eat food items on shelves in the refrigerator.
>Flies in sushi bar and back kitchen area.
>Rodent droppings observed throughout the wall to floor junctures of the food establishment including sushi bar, storage room, corridor, back of house kitchen, staff and public washrooms, dining areas, etc.
Never going back.
