A Positive Change Worth Noticing!

I used to feel that Halifax Bread Factory lacked the warmth and customer service you'd expect from a Persian store, and I wasn’t the only one—many shared similar feedback in the past. But I’m genuinely happy to say things have turned around lately.

A big part of this positive change seems to be thanks to the new shop assistant—a young lady with a sweet smile who truly embodies the spirit of Persian hospitality. She’s polite, helpful, and radiates such a positive vibe that it transforms the whole shopping experience. Her presence is exactly what this place needed.

It’s refreshing to walk in and be greeted with kindness and attentiveness. This is what Persian stores should be known for—genuine hospitality, respect, and that sense of community. I hope the management recognizes what a gem they have in her.

I love the homemade brown bread that’s made here. It reminds me of my childhood eating it with baked beans. Well worth visiting.

Ordered a yule log for Christmas. It was made and ready for pickup when I requested. It looked lovely and tasted delicious. Also purchased a bag of soft rolls which were very good. Wish they make crusty rolls.

The staff was rude and unprofessional, which completely ruined the experience. It’s unfortunate because I was excited to try their products, but the poor customer service left a bad impression. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and make improvements.

First time customer & last. Staff working not welcoming or polite enough to respond when we said hello twice to her, being her only customers in the shop. I was over charged on our purchase $21 for 2 $6 bags of bread, we'll consider the difference her "tip" for serving us...will not be back, far too many local businesses to support.

The old lady is know nothing about customer service and she was very rude. You have to treat customers like they feel welcomed and respected.

Bread is delicious..esp the oatmeal brown; staff is lovely...very friendly and accommodating. We have ordered big lots of brown bread to take to our family in PEI and staff made sure bread was fresh and ready for pickup.
