Jamieson's Irish House & Grill

Last night, I had the seafood pasta. The scallops were small and tough and the shrimp were no better. The pasta and sauce was good but could not make up for the modest amount and poor quality seafood. My wife had the fish and chips. The fish was modest in size and the chips were could only be described as dry. I once loved Jamieson's but have seen a steady decline in the food and could not recommend it to anyone today and we will not return. I should add my son had the steak which was of good size, properly cooked and tasty.

Jamieson's has been around forever and I hope it stays that way. It never disappoints.

Had lunch there today. Ordered the Maple Curry Chicken Pasta at the chef's request, and it was truly one of the best meals I've had in a long, long time.

The chef, by the way, Grace, is an absolute legend. She's the bomb. She's the bomb.com. she's a robo-bomb. In Latin she'd be known as bombus. In French she'd be known as la bombe. When whoever wrote that Spanish song that always plays at wedding receptions wrote it, they were thinking of chef Grace... I feel I've gone overboard about the chef, sorry.

Anyways, go to Jamieson's. Order the Maple Curry Chicken Pasta, ask for chef Grace, and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Found this place after a long hike - and it was a blessing! Friendliest staff and delicious food. Cute pub vibes. Recommend the maple curry pasta and the lamb shank.

my burger was burnt to a literal crisp , our waitress brought our drinks and was not seen again till the food arrived. had to go to the bar and order our own drinks. really wasn't impressed at all!

Great lil neighbourhood pub, I recommend the mussels to share, fish and chips always great and decent portion and certainly enjoy their seafood specials.
Don't bother with the Chowder tho, big lumpy potato chunks, fairly basic flour based instead of cream n throw in few mussels n shrimp not worth the price.
Bread pudding however is to die for!!
Good beer selections on tap and great service.
All in all 10/10 will continue to go back!

Excellent Local Pub with Great Staff!!! Beer is cold, food is good and reasonably priced. Overall a good place to go and have a meal and or beverage with family and friends 😀

The food here is pub grub style but each dish has an added flair that elevates it! Homemade croutons, dressings, and unique twists in classics. We’ve tried a number of dishes here over the years and have yet to find something we don’t like.

1st. Time. Loved the fish and chips. The girlfriend had seafood pasta, and it looked fantastic. She loved it. Food was superior for a pub. We'll done you guys. Will be back soon, I hope.

All the dishes we had were good, seafood pasta was heavy on pasta, light on seafood. Fish tacos looked good. Steak was cooked properly. Pork tenderloin was generous and well cooked. Service was enthusiastic, friendly and efficient.

Real food! Great staff!

Just came from there and have to say what a waste of 50.00, I had the 2 piece fish and chips. Fries were so overcooked they were hollow inside, fish greasy and high liner would have been better. My wife had a chicken sandwich as she put it barely ok and her fries were the same as mine. To charge 2.99 for a can of pop is bad enough but 2.99 for fountain pop totally unacceptable. We won’t be back to say the least and highly not recommended.

This is one of our favourite places - we go about once/month and have never had a bad meal. Nice pub with great food. Especially enjoy the lamb shank, the salmon and the haddock as well as the standard pub foods like fish & chips and bangers & mash. Desserts are all very nice, especially the bread pudding.

Clean, friendly atmosphere with a great staff. Nice selection of local beers on tap.
