Have eaten there a number of times it may look like a kind of a small little place but the quality is extremely high and the flavor is amazing.

My wife read a review that said this restaurant had the best Ramen in Dartmouth and we were in the area so thought we would give it a try.

I remember when this location was previously owned by a middle eastern lady who did an amazing shawarma wrap in what looked like a small mom/pa sandwich deli. I was thinking that they must of renovated the location as there was not much space with the old layout, but after walking though the door this was not the case. There were 4 tables lined up in a row quite close together.

After we sat down and looked at the menu I was quite surprised at the prices. In this type of restaurant and location, I would expect more reasonable prices but many items costed more than other nicer places we frequent.

My daughter ordered 2 sushi rolls. One was a little on the small side and the other one was a sushi roll with no rice which looked more a tartar on a piece of thinly sliced cucumber which my daughter who loves sushi tried and didn't want to eat the rest so we ended up eating it.

My wife and I had Ramen. The Ramen was a lot different than other Japanese Raman I have had. Many of the Ramen on the menu have similar ingredients with different meat/shrimp etc; The mushrooms used were the white button mushrooms (not shitake etc;) which I thought was odd. I will say the pork was very tender but the broth was on the bland side. I did get a little spice in mine which made mine a little better than my wives but she did not care for hers.

My honest advice would be to do a renovation on the space to make it more welcoming and give it a little ambiance to start. I would decrease the size of your menu and focus on a handful of items that you do really well, and use quality ingredients. If you don't have the funds to do this, I would change to a take out model instead or maybe have 2 tables at most in the current space. No one wants to eat that close to other people. Focus on quality, at a reasonable price and customers will find you. If the quality and price is not there, people will go once and not return and repeat business from locals is what will pay your bills. We eat out quite a lot and like to try new places. If we don't like it, we don't return but if we so, we make a point to return. I always try to support small businesses and hope you take this honest feedback and make some positive changes. I wish you the best in the future.

Parking: There are 3 spaces on the side of the restaurant and at least 2 more around back. Just make sure to park in a designated spot or you could be towed as per the signage posted.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs and the location is on the bottom floor.

Ya, it’s probably the best ramen and sushi currently in Halifax. I think there is room for some improvement. Prices are fair and I am pretty happy with the over all.

Ramen was very good. Loved the broth. The pork came breaded which was different for ramen but I enjoyed it. The eggs were overcooked inside but maybe they kept cooking in the broth on our way home. Staff was very very friendly. They gave us water while we waited for our takeout.

Kaizen Sushi and Ramen was a fantastic experience! We loved everything! My son enjoying the tempura, and the tonkotsu ramen was “good and delish”, according to my 6yo son. The sushi was great, especially the ocean-themed roll—though I can't quite recall the name. My personal favorite was the katsudon; it had the perfect taste I’ve been searching for, even better than what I've had at a Japanese restaurant in Moncton. The prices were very reasonable, and the owner’s hospitality was top-notch. We even got some complimentary desserts! We left feeling very satisfied, and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. The owners were incredibly humble and hospitable. We’ll definitely return when we’re back in Dartmouth, NS.

Extremely poor service! I placed an order online last night at 6pm and was charged to my visa. It said on Google maps they were open until 9pm. I received a confirmation text that they received my order but 30 minutes later I got no updates so I tried calling 3 times with no answer. I drove to their location on Windmill road and it was closed and gated. I left a message asking to call me back as I have been charged for food I did not receive and have heard nothing from them! Terrible customer service. I will not be ordering from here again despite their 5 star reviews….

The ratings do not reflect how delicious the food at this place is. I ordered a spicy ramen, takoyakis, and a hot tea; everything was excellent. Intense and well-complemented flavors, good portions, good service and a good price. Definitely one of the best places in the city. I loved it.

Delicious sushi! EXTREMELY nice staff. We arrived near closing time and even after closing time they still let us order more food.

What blew our minds was the fresh grated fresh wasabi ... Just magical with the really fresh fish, especially the butter fish, cuttlefish, shrimp and salmon.

And we couldn't believe the fresh ube and delicious real strawberry ice cream in the halo halo! What an interesting but lovely surprise in a sushi restaurant!

Overall the service was out of this world and the meal was unforgettable. We'll definitely be recommending this place to others and coming back!

Freshest sushi we’ve had! So tasty and the beef in the ramen was so tender and flavourful!
We will be back for sure!

I tried ordering on Skip and my order was canceled. Not only did Tripadvisor indicate its open hours are different from googlemaps/overview, but when trying to phone up the restaurant they are labeled as 'SHWARMAN PIZZA & SUBS' I highly don't recommend, I think they are a Ghost restaurant.

Quality ingredients across the board. The fish that's used tastes nothing like the garbage you get in other places. The staff are friendly and have smiles on their faces. Ty!
