Ordered 3 donairs takeout today. When we got home, No donair sauce with it. Meat was good but didn’t enjoy as dry without sauce. Called to let waitress know that she forgot but she stated that she had put on the sauce. Will not go back, as it is ok to forget but denying it was unacceptable.

I recently ordered a large Classic Original Donair for takeout from King of Donair at 451 Windmill Road in Dartmouth, and I must say the experience lived up to this establishment’s legendary reputation! Upon opening my order, I was immediately struck by the sheer size of the donair. It was so massive that it was nearly impossible to keep it closed for a photo – a logistical challenge, but an absolute delight for the eyes and taste buds! The portion is incredibly generous, easily enough for two meals. The ingredients were fresh, with perfectly spiced, thinly sliced meat, beautifully balanced by KOD’s signature sweet sauce, crisp onions, and juicy tomatoes, all wrapped in a warm, soft pita. The quality of the ingredients and the care put into the preparation shone through in every bite, making every aspect of this donair absolutely perfect. The takeout service was quick and efficient, and the staff was courteous, making the experience even more enjoyable. While some online reviews mention the sauce being overly thick at times, I found it perfectly balanced in my case, adding a creamy touch without overpowering the other flavors. King of Donair remains true to its title as Canada’s donair pioneer, and this large Classic Original is a true celebration of flavor and generosity. If you’re looking for a hearty and delicious meal in Dartmouth, I highly recommend their Classic Original Donair – but come hungry! I’ll definitely be back for another tasty experience.

The donairs are the best, the business itself looks a little rough though.Again, the donairs are the bomb! Just like how I remember them in my youth.

This is the worst pizza and service I’ve ever had and they charge too much for what they give you. if you want Donair sauce on top of your pizza, don’t ask for it in a cup. They will charge you for the cup even if you’re just gonna pour it on top of your pizza, which is stupid. The pizza is rarely fresh and they charge more making you have to Insert your debit card expecting a tip they don’t allow tap, which is ridiculous nowadays

It needs to have some renovations done and I'd say atleast an exhaust fan as there was noticable grease build up on the paint of the wall

I think that this Donair restaurant was the most ghetto thing I have ever been. When I worked in there was a smell of stale meat. But I ordered a large and while I was waiting for my food I saw a mouse or rat in the back of the cooking area and the worker there didn’t even notice. Then I looked over to the grill and saw a chunk of skinned out donair meat just laying there like a gunshot victim. Then when I got the food I am pretty sure I watched a drug deal go down in the parking lot.
Overall a 4/5 for everything but the atmosphere which was feeling like I was back in the hood. But the worker was nice.
Don’t go there at night, day is better.

First thing i did after i got off the plane, hopped in my rental and drove straight to KOD,the Donair meat was laying in a gray plastic bin right on the counter for who knows how long the guy did not even used gloves to make the Donair, i ate a couple bite off and threw the rest in the garbage, i was'nt looking to get sick on a buisness trip so sad that was supposed to be my trip's highlight....

Donairs aren’t great. Works pizza is really good. Never have any specials on the menu. They might happen to have one special painted on the front window. The menu pricing and photos on Google are never accurate and never up to date.
Get some multi pizza combo deals, or other menu items.

Delicious food, dirty and crammed eating areas. Would be nice if the inside matched how good the food tasted.
Vegetarian options: To be fair, going to a place called King Of Donair does not scream Vegetarian. I'm certain you can get food here of that variety.
Extremely tasty food🤤. Was totally worth the drive and the staff, so so friendly. I couldn’t help myself and ended up ordering more for the route. Can’t wait to return to this place.

The food was great, but they are definitely not the kings of speed. Took them about 10 minutes to start making our order, they were busy playing on their phones before. We were one of 3 whole customers in the 20+ minutes we were there. The interior of the place is kinda falling apart (including a seat that fell apart on a customer). Definitely do not plan on dining in here. Much wiser to order via the phone and come pick up.
