First thing i did after i got off the plane, hopped in my rental and drove straight to KOD,the Donair meat was laying in a gray plastic bin right on the counter for who knows how long the guy did not even used gloves to make the Donair, i ate a couple bite off and threw the rest in the garbage, i was'nt looking to get sick on a buisness trip so sad that was supposed to be my trip's highlight....

Donairs aren’t great. Works pizza is really good. Never have any specials on the menu. They might happen to have one special painted on the front window. The menu pricing and photos on Google are never accurate and never up to date.
Get some multi pizza combo deals, or other menu items.

Vegetarian options: To be fair, going to a place called King Of Donair does not scream Vegetarian. I'm certain you can get food here of that variety.

The food was great, but they are definitely not the kings of speed. Took them about 10 minutes to start making our order, they were busy playing on their phones before. We were one of 3 whole customers in the 20+ minutes we were there. The interior of the place is kinda falling apart (including a seat that fell apart on a customer). Definitely do not plan on dining in here. Much wiser to order via the phone and come pick up.

What a bad choice. First time in Halifax, and coming here, we heard all about the Halifax donair and its origem, so we decided to visit the place that supposedly introduced donair to Canada. The place is badly bitten up, old and dirty, I'm sure it had it's time, but now it is depressing and it should be out of business. Donair is not fresh, they used meat pre cooked and they heated it up in the burner, but when it was dished, the meat was still cold. We see all these famous people's photos in the wall, supporting the place, but I wonder if any of them visited the place lately, they would be ashamed to have their names associated with a such poor place. I've lived here all my life and never tried KoD despite loving donairs, so finally got around to visiting.
Sat in to eat at this location. Very, very poor donairs unfortunately. The meat was dry and room temperature, the sauce felt like it came from the grocery store and just came out of the fridge, and the wrap was stale. Not exaggerating to say that they were the worst donairs we've ever had. Employees were inattentive and listening to loud punjab music in the back. Location was incredibly dirty and smelly (not in a good way) on the inside and was very hot and humid.
King is not a title befitting this chain, at least not anymore.
