Decided to try La Cucina tonight. Seated quickly, service was pleasant and quick. Had the meatballs as an appetizer, so good you could sell the tomato sauce alone and I would buy it. My wife had a mushroom ravioli and I had seafood pasta. Both were amazing flavors and completely enjoyed. Highly recomend this place.
Service was ok, waitress was very nice but overall food was slow to come out. The dining area was very dimly lit and seemed very dark. Food was quite pricey for what it is, not great but not horrible.
This is usually mine and my partners go to place for pasta so we took my mother and grandmother. Unfortunately, this time around it was awful enough to write about and never go back. They were severely understaffed for a Sunday night, only two servers for the whole restaurant. No host or busser. That being said, other busy restaurants have better customer service. We showed up and didn’t have 2/4 forks and only 3/4 side plates. Our server never came to refill our waters or ask us if we wanted more drinks. Everyone else’s pasta was great! Mine, extremely over done. Practically mush. Flavour was great and the seafood was perfect. I could only eat the seafood and a small portion of the pasta. These issues were brought up to the waitress who proceeded to bill us without any compensation or discount. When we asked about it, they said they would have to call their manager to approve it and made us feel guilty for bringing it up. Very embarrassing and disappointing for me and my family after we hyped up how great it was.
La Cucina is a fantastic restaurant with plenty to offer, though it does come with a few drawbacks. It’s often quite busy, so it’s best to visit on quieter days, or book reservations in advance, if you can. The food, while delicious, may take some time to arrive, and the layout of the space can feel a bit crowded or disorienting at times. That said, the menu is diverse with plenty of appealing options, and the atmosphere is flexible enough to suit a romantic date, a family outing, or a casual meal with friends.
We had a great first experience at La Cucina. The hosts were very welcoming. Our waitress was so friendly, sweet and attentive with us. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and it was delicious! My dining partner also really enjoyed her chicken Focaccia sandwich with roasted potatoes. Can't wait to come back!
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful!
Wonderful food! The servers were a bit distracted socializing, but it wasn’t busy when I was there, so that is somewhat understandable.
Paula is the best waitress!! We luckily get her a as our server every visit! According to our son, she makes the best hot chocolate!! Thank you Paula😁
Had reservations for 6pm, from the time we sat down and got our food was 2 hours. Ordered the Monty crisco and it was nothing like it said in the menu. There was no egg wash, one small slice of tomato, not sure if there was cheese as you couldn't taste any. Only way you know there is ham, is you can see it, very small piece on the sandwich. The chicken Parmesan had almost no breading on the chicken and tasted like tomato soup for sauce. Left 90% of that behind, it was so bad. Pop was spilled on my son, the table and the napkin and no one cleaned it up or gave him a clean napkin. Waitress kept apologizing for the food taking so long as they said it was a new cook. Was a horrible experience for what I paid
A little expensive for pasta that's not hand made, but very tasty food.
We had very good service.

Always delicious and reasonably priced, Italian cuisine. Jane and her staff are lovely. I highly recommend you try for yourself.
Love eating lunch at la cucina with my friends. The service is always friendly and knowledgeable . The atmosphere is not rushed and we are able to have a conversation and lovely meal.
The food was good but the staff were very rude, attitude and unprofessional. We had to ask for plate/bowl multiple times as we had shared some dishes. The food came out less than 15mins we havent eat half of it yet but ask us if we want box for the food and bill check us out. The restaurant was just open not busy yet it’s no point of doing that. Very disappointed!
I have had many of chicken Alfredos from all over Nova Scotia but the chicken Alfredo here is by far the best chicken Alfredo I have ever eaten portion size is perfect presentation was absolutely spot on and the decor is wonderful.
I would give 6 stars if there was a option I recommend to everyone
Always consistent. Good food for a fair price.
