I got to the mall about 5 mins before they opened at 9:30, so I sat down and waited. About 9:35 ish someone finally came and started to get everything ready. I had a feeling they were running behind and I was in no rush so I walked up to the counter and just stood there. I stood there for maybe about 10mins before he addressed me and asked if I was waiting for pretzels, to which I responded yep, and he informed me it would still be a bit of a wait, and I told him no worries as I wasn’t in any rush. He proceeded to get my order as he was rushing to get everything out for the display. He originally seemed a bit cranky, but I assumed it was from him running late, as I get like that too.He eventually got me my cup of pretzel bites and I told him I hated to be a pain but I actually needed another one, which he got ready promptly. I went to get my debit card to pay and he stopped me. He Introduced himself as the manager, and said they’re usually ready at 9:30 but he was stuck in construction and was running late. He thanked me for my patience and said that because he was so late and I waited that he wasn’t going to charge me for my food. I asked if he was sure, because I really didn’t mind paying but he said he wanted us to end on good terms and he reached out and shook my hand.It doesn’t seem like much but honestly that moment meant a lot to me. He was running behind and rushing around just to get my pretzel bites and still managed to maintain a respectful tone and offered sincere generosity that honestly wouldn’t have affected my view of the place or their staff, which made it even more appreciated. I actually welled up in that moment because it was such a genuine offer and he definitely went above and beyond. I believe his name was Craig, so thank you Craig. You are appreciated :)

I’ve never been more angry for somebody in my life. There was a woman in front of me ordering and she got a couple of pretzels and pretzel bites as she was done with that order she realized she forgot to order two more pretzels bites. The owner was super rude towards her and was trying to make her feel bad for the food that she was paying him for because there would be none left for myself and another person in line which was completely okay to me because I was in no rush. The woman was visibly shaking and proceeded to apologize to me which I said absolutely no worries at all. I then decided to leave because I didn’t want to give that man a dime of my money. And he shouts “now people are leaving” I will never give them my business again :). Being in customer service isn’t for everyone I guess

They still have their big plastic pandemic walls up around the front of the store, so it's impossible to hear what the staff are saying. Had to say what I wanted 3 times and they still didn't understand.

I was visiting Mic-Mac Mall with my friend to go to the Mrs. Fields Pretzelmaker to order pretzel bites etc. The man who was at cash register who claimed to be the manager/owner. Was extremely rude and disrespectful towards me for no reason. When I went to order after my friend. He completely disregarded me and said that he will only listen and hear my friend order. I moved over and let my friend order for me because I was thrown off by his response. He then messed up our order. He apologized to only my friend and said if she comes back that she will get better customer service and free items. He then made a comment towards me that I won't get good customer service because I am aggressive looking. Meanwhile the whole time I barley said anything. I told him I will be writing a bad review of this awful experience. As a black woman (My friend was a white women) I am very hurt and disgusted by the customer service by the owner at this franchise and will not be returning.

Faithful Pretzelmaker consumers, but today we had an experience with a man (assuming a manager as he was training some visibly shaken kid) that made us decide not to return. First, we watched this man get upset with the newer employee out back, within customer earshot. We waited approximately five minutes before they noticed us. Then he proceeded to be very rude from the beginning of the transaction, and pushy in terms of ordering quickly despite us being the only customers around. When I asked for a specific flavour of bites that I’ve ordered several times at both this location and Halifax, he claimed that it wasn’t possible because the sauce, “came out at 175 degrees and would burn the skin off of peoples fingers.” Said sauce is kept at the same temperature as pretzels, as they are stored within customer sight under the warmer. He proceeded to explain this three times, even though we had said that we no longer wanted them and moved to the pick up counter to receive the first order. Upon sitting to eat the food, we found that the bites were doughy/undercooked, definitely not at typical PM standards. The coating was barely there, bites were plain at the bottom so we didn’t finish them. Waste of time and money.

I normally like the pretzels I buy here. Tastes good! However, there's one employee at Mic Mac Mall who always messes up the order. She just always gets it wrong and I always have to ask her to redo it or I find out when I get home. It's always the same woman at Mic Mac Mall.

20 yrs ago the pretzels were literally twice the size for the same price. $4.25 back then and $4.25 now. Dipping sauces were given in tiny cups, not individual Kraft packs (1). just an old man ranting

This place sucks so much I'd run out my phone's battery if I wanted to list the endless reasons why.
