R&B is doing the school lunches at my kids school and it has been a massive hit! You can tell they care about what they are doing and not just throwing food on a plate that meets the requirements. So happy to have them in our school! We'll done R&B!

Stopped in tonight for the first time and tried the BBQ chicken and Mac and Cheese with green beans and cornbread. It was very good! Chicken was delicious! Definitely going back. Large portions too

Hopefully it was a fluke, but the amount of salt in this food, especially the Oxtail was insane. We couldn't eat it.

I've only been twice and both times the food was really good, tried the chicken and waffles on the second visit, delicious! The only thing I wanted to bring up is that you're still charging tax at 15%, not a huge difference on one persons bill, but over time this adds up.

The price I was charged didn't match the prices of the food plus tax. I was charged $3-$4 extra than what I should have been. I also asked for a chicken Alfredo and a shrimp Alfredo. Both were chicken. The sauce was extremely rich and it was very greasy. The garlic bread was also really gross. It made me and my fiancee sick to our stomachs. More than likely, won't return.

Food is 5/5. Lucky to be living close to this restaurant! I have tried their jerk chicken, oxtail, chicken and waffles and, bbq chicken. Everything is heavenly. Their mac and cheese is a must try. There is not a lot of sitting area so this is great place for takeouts. Reminder that this place only accepts cash and e transfer. Lots of parking too.

my food was delicious but for some reason I was charged 26% tax... $20.99 meal cost me $26.44...there was nothing to explain why, just says on the menu bored that taxes arent included in in the price. I'll not be back
edit - thanks for the offer but I drove out of my way to try the restaurant out, I'll be leaving my review up for others make sure they are charged the correct amount in the future.

I had high hopes for this spot after seeing it online, and while visiting Halifax, I made a special trip to try it for lunch. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. When I walked in, the music was so loud it was genuinely jarring. There was no greeting from the woman at the counter—just a blank stare. I had to figure out on my own where to find the menu and eventually saw there was a lunch special, which I ordered. Again, there was no friendliness or engagement from the staff, which made the interaction uncomfortable. The drink selection was very limited, but the food arrived quickly and was quite tasty. The lunch special was a great deal at $10, and based on taste and value alone, I would have happily returned. However, the overall atmosphere and poor customer service—particularly the cold, disinterested demeanor of the staff—left me feeling unwelcome. It’s a real shame, as I genuinely love Caribbean food and would have recommended this place if the experience had been more positive. And to add, I mentioned this to few people who are part of a food group I run, and they also had the same experience and said they would not be returning because of the bad customer service. Such a shame!
The good at R&B Kitchen is AAAAAAMAZING!!! I’ve been eating here since they open and I haven’t had a bad meal yet!! Every time they have chicken and waffles, I usually get it two or three times… Today I got the Rasta Pasta with a side of their incredible Corn Bread, and it was phenomenal!! They are makin pure magic up in that kitchen!!!

Sitting here with stuffed belly’s wondering how it took so long to discover this place! What an awesome experience! The staff was super fun and helpful, the food was incredible with the portion sizes so big I have enough for another day! Beyond satisfied and will definitely be back!! Thank you!!

R&B Kitchen is one of the best restaurants I visited while in Halifax. You definitely need to add it to your list of restaurants when eating out. The jerk chicken is great and the mac and cheese is to die for! Highly recommend!

first time there...the waffles were spongey like texture, the chicken was good but the coating was soggy, sauce cups were hardly filled & mac n cheese was lil bland/dry..didnt care for the slaw & gor 25$..could atleast included a small drink or somthing

Hands down the best soul food in HRM. Ask anyone. This is where it’s at. They have a rotating menu so you need to go several times to experience several dishes. All will blow your mind.
