The food was very mid, especially for the price, tortillas were rubbery and the birria taco was dry and tasteless, disappointing. The spicy margarita was delicious though!

Sabrosa was a great place for a business lunch. The food was extremely tasty; the staff was attentive; and there was a comfortable ambience. I will definitely return.

The food is quite literally fire!!! Fresh, vibrant flavours that jump off of the plate into your mouth. The selection of hot sauces are awesome...... but .... but.. .. skip the bottled stuff, pull up your socks and inquire about their house made extra, extra hot sauce. The heat of the sauce makes me wonder if they harnessed it directly from the sun's surface and the heat is only matched by its flavour. (Do not order this if you don't have experience with ethnic foods that dabble in the spice and heat genre.)The food is presented like artwork. The drinks are clearly made by professionals who really care about what they are doing. I can't say enough good things about this place, you're just going to have to go find out for yourself. If you're a foodie, in the industry or just like heat then this is the spot for you and you're welcome.... now stop reading and GO!!!!Also.... if you end up with Brent as your server you're in good hands. I challenge you to stump him with a question!Alright HRM ..... your move.

Update: We returned after several months to give it a second chance. I want to take a moment to say that our server was PHENOMENAL, so kind and engaging. The guava margarita was fabulous. Unfortunately the food was worse if anything. This time I had the nachos and my husband had the Mexican street fries. Oh Sabrosa - how do you mess up nachos? I paid for extra cheese, but alas this nacho staple barely graced these nachos. They were alternately dry as a bone and sopping wet from the generous amount of paradoxically dry and tasteless (but dripping?) beef piled on top. Both the nachos and the (what I will loosely term) "pico de gallo" were bland and flavorless. People, there wasn't even salt, let alone cilantro or lime. Somehow the jalapenos even managed to be spice-less. My husband had better luck with the fries, I suspect due to the generous amount of queso poured on top. Unfortunately, Sabrosa just continues to disappoint. For a price range of $120 we won't be back.I wanted to love it, but no luck. To start the margaritas were boozy but expensive for a small glass. My husband got the tacos and out of 4 different kinds the only one he felt stood out was the pork carnitas. The flavors in the others were "ok" but not great. I got the burrito - I found the meat exceptionally dry and the burrito filling largely flavorless. Overall, again, everything was "ok" but didn't seem worth the cost and certainly didn't stand out as exceptional. I love mexican food and wanted to love it but I'm sad I didn't! Service was fast though and our waitress was lovely.Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu

Staying in Dartmouth, my family decided to treat ourselves to something different. We are all Mexican food fans and were excited to try Sabrosa's. Admittedly we should have opted to eat in instead of get takeout, but we were tired from traveling and hungry! We decided on 3 appetizers...the corn dip, taquitos, and spicy shrimp. It cost over $50. We got two boxes of tortilla chips (probably equal to half a bag of Tostitos), about a cup of corn dip (which tasted like bland, canned corn), and a cup of the shrimp (tiny and swimming in a greasy cream sauce). Taquitos were dry and had very little filling. We were so disappointed!!The service upon pickup was awesome; and atmosphere was cool.

From the food to the service to the art deco feel. The restaurant is filled with vibrant colours, both of our visits we,be been met with incredibly friendly servers. Our last visit we were given menu suggestions their queso being one and it was absolutely delicious. Their seasonal guava margarita was incredible overall it’s become our date night go to!

Sadly very disappointment after this last visit. They put alot of spice on their chips, no plain ones available. We have gone there before a several times since it opened and liked it. The service was good the food was not good at all. The don burrito I ordered was rice and a Little meat nothing else inside no corn no beans no pico de gallo. Another ordered two different tacos, however one was inedible. I don’t know what happened I’ve had it before but it was extremely spicy to the point no one who tried could tolerate it. The loaded fries were more of a soupy mess. Couldn’t finish anything. Just for bill and went To McDonald’s afterwards sadly.

The food was delicious ? I had a fish taco and a little chicken fried taco, caesar salad and churro bites. The caesar salad was amazing. Both tacos were really good. Everything was so fresh. My friend had the Mexican street fries and a Chicken Tinga taco and smore's nachos. She loved all of her food. We will definitely be back. Our waiter Steve was fantastic! It was our first time there so he recommended items from the menu. He was very friendly and professional. Although, he was very busy he was attentive to our table. Great job Steve! Thank you to the kitchen staff that made our delicious meal.

We had a wonderful experience dining at Sabrosa. Zack was a great dude and took good care of us. The food was outstanding. roasted corn dip and spicy shrimp taco were my favorites. The haddock and the taco bowl were also good. I will be going back to try their other menu items.

The food didn't feel very authentic, the service was slow getting to us but ok with follow-up, and the atmosphere was like a cafeteria. I would not go again.
