Awesome open mic experience on Sunday afternoon and affordable prices.
Great people supporting an establishment that supports artists! Woot woot! 🎉
Came back to hali to visit after over 15 years and decided to try this place. The staff and crowd are an absolute blast and i will definitly be back for some beer and food(not shrimp). Thanks so much for the great night
Tried the Stagger Burger with cheese and bacon (with the fries and coleslaw). Good, solid burger. Slightly different that was noted on their website but still a good burger.
Fries were excellent along with the coleslaw. Service was very friendly and good.
A gem for Downtown Dartmouth. Friendly staff, good patrons and fantastic entertainment on Thursday wing night.(my usual night).
I enjoy the variety of wing sauces, and have found the wings in general are excellent. The burgers are really good, and I have recently discovered the quesadillas, which maybe my new favorite.
I have found the washrooms to be clean, as well as the rest of the bar in general.
A fun local bar with lots to do weekly.
Came here for lunch. The food was good, hamburger was solid with a homemade bun, the fries and house salad were good, and the chili and breakfast poutine were great as well. Not super large servings - the menu is cheap, so they're good for the price, but definitely leaves you with room for dessert.
The only problem was that we waited almost an hour after ordering before we even got our food (table of 4) - definitely not a rush, there were only 2 other tables occupied. Our waitress was super nice, but...we were so hungry....
Would be interested to return for brunch, so depending on the wait times then, I may amend this review.
Great food and staff!!!
It was so nice of them to put on a free xmas dinner! The music was also fantastic
My friends and I love Friday night karaoke. The staff are wonderful and friendly. The food is tasty and the prices are fantastic. I can't recommend it enough. The karaoke host and great, and talented regulars make this a night a fun night for all.
Really fun and inviting place. The karaoke DJ is top shelf and there is just a really good vibe here!

Just had one of their employees stalk and threaten to slander me because I caught the owner in a cocaine deal. Its funny how people are righteous until they're caught doing something highly illegal and supporting illicit drug use. Not a good place to go. Other locations on the same street are a much better choice. Even other servers on the same street say Debbie and Staggers is not a good place to work or someone you'd ever want to work for. Most of the servers are amazing, kind, attentive and fast but it's the select nasty few that ruin it for everyone. Staggers will never get another cent of my money. It's sad because I still value the service, smiles and laughs I had with some of their employees.
I've been to this establishments three times over the last few months. The first was during Pride where they were hosting a show for the Halifax Drag Kings in which I had a friend performing and others attending that I was very much looking forward to catching up with.
Right at the start it's good to know that this is a place that supports the LGBTQQIP2SAA+ (I think that is the most up to date label) community. In doing some research it looks like they have been allies of this community for quite some time. The staff were busy that night but we're as attentive as they could be given the circumstances. I only had soft drinks but was surprised at how cheap they were when I went to pay my bill . Overall the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming on this initial visit.
The next day a family member and I we're looking for somewhere to go for an early brunch downtown and found that most of the places we're not open till after noon on Sundays. We walked past this place and realized it was open and they were serving breakfast so we went in with me chuckling because I had just been there the night before. They have a specific breakfast menu available on Saturdays and Sundays which we ordered from.
I had the breakfast poutine which I found very enjoyable. It was a good size serving at a reasonable price and was it better than some of the breakfast poutines I've had at other restaurants in the city (for those who may not be aware or breakfast poutine is when your eggs, hash browns, bacon, etc, are all combined or somewhat layered usually with hollandaise sauce which I usually substitute with ketchup). For $13 it was a good meal.. My family member had the basic breakfast and they were happy with that as well.
The same family member and I were looking for a place to eat dinner downtown last Sunday. After looking at the menus of several places we decided to try this place again. I had a chicken Caesar wrap with fries. Was pretty standard but all the ingredients appeared fresh and my fries were overflowing on my plate. My family member had the club sandwich which was quite a bit bigger than we were both expecting so much so that they were leftovers. I did have one part of it and it was very good as well. The prices were definitely reasonable with meal only being $11
Our server was prompt and pleasant and did the best you could given that there was live music going on at the time. There were locals singing and you can tell it is a close-knit community that looks out for each other as donations were made for one of them who was going home to Ireland until next summer. They also appear to take karaoke very seriously as there was quite the setup happening when we were getting ready to leave.
I hope to come back to this place again because someone recently made me aware that they have a back room with retro arcade games and pinball machines. I very much look forward to playing these games for my youth the next time I visit (I’m looking at you Simpsons arcade game and Street Fighter). Overall seems like a very nice establishment and I'm glad it's here in downtown Dartmouth.
Parking: Its downtown Dartmouth so don't expect to find a parking spot easily at peak times. It is free in the evenings and weekends which is nice.
Wheelchair accessibility: The main floor appears to be laid out in a away that would be easy to navigate if one had mobility issues. However there are sections you have to take a step or two to get up to and did not see if there were any ramps to make this easily available for all but I could have just missed them

Went in at suppertime for a quick order of wings before a meeting. Took 10 minutes at the bar to place my order, and then another 20 minutes for the wings to arrive. When the 'mild' wings arrived, they were over cooked to the point of being hard, and the sauce was so spicy I was wiping it off with a napkin. And to top it off, the waitress turned off the tv I was watching as the weak excuse for entertainment began as the tv would distract the singer, so I was forced to stare at a wall while I tried to force down my food.

the food and as well the staff are fantastic. Great entertainment. very friendly environment. A very safe place to go for the gay community.
Terrible service, forgetful and inattentive waitress, burnt food, no offer to refill my clearly empty beverage - I'm shocked at the number of positive reviews - assuming left by regular patrons who actually get service...?
