Best place to eat in Dartmount, I always make the stop here when I am in Nova Scotia. The drinks and food is absolutely delicious and the service is great! We had the crobster roll and scallops, the seafood was very fresh and flavourful. I always recommended this restaurant to friends and family when they visit the east coast. Highly recommended!

I am visiting from Ottawa and the Canteen was recommended by a friend. I’m so glad I took the recommendation. The seafood chowder was the best I’ve had in my life. The seafood was a generous portion and the flavor was outstanding. Staff were lovely and welcoming. I’ve been thinking about the chowder non stop.

All around a 10/10 experience! I was here in February for training and met up with a couple of friends. The food was excellent and the drink choices were expansive. I ordered the steak frites which were cooked to perfection, and broccoli which was some of the best broccoli I've ever had. The atmosphere was so nice for catching up with my friends because I could hear them and they could hear me, without everyone else hearing us too. I would definitely recommend and will be returning when I am back in Dartmouth!

I’m a bit mad at myself for not coming here sooner. The food was absolutely spot on, spectacular. Local ingredients, beautiful scallops, and the bun on the Crobster roll was as memorable as the filling. Our server Eva was awesome! Great to be around, so nice. We felt totally spoiled. If you want great NS seafood, creative classic dishes, and an all-round impressive experience, you gotta come! Can’t wait to go back.
