The lamb burger patty was tough and did not taste good. Tasted like a cheap burger. Couldn't wven fonish it. The apple salad and potato wedges weren't good. Tourist trap place.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of diverse menu choices. A fantastic spot to go with those who have food allergies.

Recommend stop in Dartmouth for a great meal and view of Halifax.

Great location with views of the Harbour, right beside the ferry. Our group of ladies had the apple salad, Cajun haddock, haddock with rotation, jerk risotto and braised beef. Good portions meant no room for dessert but the options looked good.

The atmosphere was amazing, our friends were visiting from Singapore and we all had an amazing time catching up with great food. Our waitress was so kind, personable and patient. All the staff there were very welcoming, and bid us farewell as we left. 10/10 experience, the deck was beautiful, and the weather was lovely that day.

They were beyond accommodating when we arrived at 9 before a 9:30 closing, half our group went to the wrong location, and we had a million dietary restrictions too. Food was amazing!

Beautiful setting in Dartmouth on the edge of the harbour. The food however was mediocre and disappointing. I had the fish and roasties. The breaded fish was bland with a thick, dry and tasteless coating. The roasties also were dry and bland with a not-nice mouth feel. The apple cider vinegar cole slaw had too much apple cider vinegar - that's all I could taste.
My friends had pizza - they were both disappointed with the crust - not made in-house. This was explained on the menu but that shouldn't be an excuse for a less-than-
adequate result. The server was nice however they forgot our starter; when the main was served after a rather long wait I asked about the starter. They explained they forgot it, apologized and offered to put the order in at the kitchen at that point - too late of course since we already had the main on the table. I understand people make mistakes but it was disappointing nonetheless. The chocolate brownie however was delicious and decadent! I like the WM’s business model and the Dartmouth location, but I’m not sure I will be in a rush to return.

Visited this location for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the view and atmosphere! We were a party of 11 for my 9 year old’s birthday party. George, our server, was very attentive to our needs and the experience was overall excellent.

We chose to come to wooden monkey because one of our guests has celiac.

Lovely patio table overlooking the water, very friendly service, and the vegan donair was delicious! Portions could have been a bit larger, but I guess it was on the 'light fare' page

Heard good things about this place so we decided to give it a try. Sadly we weren’t impressed with their food or their service. We sat down at 6pm on Natal Day and the patio was busy and inside was quiet. Our server didn’t come up to our table until around 6:20 or 6:25. We ordered drinks and our food and the drinks didn’t come until 6:45. We waited 45 minutes for a drink from the time we sat down… Server did not apologize for the wait. Food came at 7pm and the burgers were mediocre in flavour and the portions were not the best. The star of the dish were those roasties, they were really good but there weren’t that many. The fish tacos unfortunately made me feel sick. I don’t think I could return here.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Wooden Monkey, and it couldn’t have gone better. The food was absolutely delicious — everyone enjoyed their meal! The service was amazing too; Alex, Maggie, and the rest of the team took such great care and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The staff was so accommodating the entire evening — if we needed anything at all, it was taken care of right away.

Bonus: The view of Halifax from the venue is stunning.

Adam and Michael were incredible to work with from start to finish. They confirmed every detail leading up to the day and answered all the questions we had. They were very professional and easy-going. They were really great when it came to letting us set up and take down all of our decorations.

We’re so grateful to the whole team for making our wedding feel so special — highly recommend them to anyone planning an event! Thank you!!!

Stopped here on a whim, and really enjoyed our meals - salmon, braised beef, fish and roasties, scallop pasta, and apps were all really delicious! Our server was very sweet and helpful. All around great time!
