Food was good, portions were not real big,service was just ok, coffee was cold and expensive. overall just an ok experience.

This was one of the best meals we had on our Nova Scotia, PEI vacation. We saw the sign from the highway as it was near the airport. We decided to go for dinner and we so glad we did. We had the scallop dinner, and a baked halibut special. For dessert, we enjoyed the most delicious blueberry shortcake. Our server was friendly, super fun and definitely a very hard worker. We wish we’d sernit the night before as we would have eater here two nights.

Seafood chowder was good for Nova Scotia standards (not great as photos from other reviews of Nova Scotia's best chowders) but tasty and would recommend. Fish fry was just ok, fries and slaw: the fish was like a frozen processed deep-fried and would not recommend. The crepe chicken & mushroom was good, also their quiche with salad, the red-beet salad could be recommended if they switched the beets they used to chunks not canned circles (poor presentation of cafeteria style food). Spinach salad with chicken was ok too. The chicken club with baked potato was good. The highlight of the week was their "pasta marina" and easily the best dish of all the above.

It's terribly disappointing that the bar/restaurant in this adorable hotel is such a let down. The servers, although friendly, must know how mediocre the food is?! It's dark and dingy in there. $3.50 for small soda water and no offer of a refill. Beef dip and calamari were nasty. I've had better chicken wings from a gas station. Venture anywhere else for dinner and you will thank me! I'm honestly shocked they can stay open, mind you it's already for limited days/hours.

Restaurant is located at The Inn on The Lake. We made reservations and were seated in front of the large fireplace. A very beautiful location. The server was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant had tables closed and signs to encourage and follow COVID rules. Everything was spotless. We had nachos to start and they were very good with lots of toppings. We also had the fish and chips and a chicken wrap and fries. Both were excellent and larger that we expected. The server kindly offered a take out container for the leftovers. Sadly no room for dessert. This was our first visit and we look forward to going again.

My wife and I both had the Seafood Caseroles. The presentation was great, so was the speed, temperature, portion, etc. Everything was great here and the ambiance was not too busy and crowded for a Saturday night. We both had the to die for Coconut Cream Pie, for dessert. This is a hidden gem in Halifax !

We ate at this restaurant twice, both times with a group oh six and eight. we were seated in a small but comfortable dining area which provided us with privacy. Food was great, staff was attentive. Highly recommend.

This is definitely one of those rare gems off the beaten path that is worth your time to visit. The dining room is quite warm and pleasant, and the menu offers good variety. No matter where you go in all of Atlantic Canada, you will not find a better seafood chowder. My local colleagues from Newfoundland and Nova Scotia agree; it’s the very best!
We came here for lunch the service was amazing and the food so delicious. I had the spinach salad and sandwich and soup of the day which was tasteful and beautiful presented. The apple crumble was to die for. The bread is fresh out of the oven and bake to perfection. Thank you for a amazing experience.

My husband and I had a meal here to celebrate our 49th anniversary. Mentioned this, but server made no mention of free photo to remember it. Service was great, food good. Just a few minor complaints, like hating salad in a bowl, buttermilk dressing clumpy, veggies and potato far too much peppercorn, could not eat, and salmon did not have enough dill sauce, hubbies tomato cream soup far too thick. Bread was great, butter soft, I hate hard butter on bread. All in all, a good meal.

We have some new kitchen and wait staff. We though they were well trained but obviously they will require a refresher course. We are very sorry for the shortfalls, please give me call to discuss this matter further.

I have been going to this restaurant occasionally for the last 14 years. The food has always been delicious and until yesterday the quality of the service was impeccable. Yesterday this changed. The food was still great and our server was very friendly, the service was very slow. We waited for everything, including the butter for the fresh bread, it didn't arrive until the bread had cooled and our meal was served. I ordered Caesar Salad with blackened chicken, the chicken was tasty but it didn't appear cooked let alone blackened. Food prep was very slow, table clearing after the meal was slow, presenting the bill was slow, returning with a credit machine was slow. The level of distracting noises was loud, the hostess greeting and seating others, servers dropping tableware after clearing tables, glassware clinking, conversations coming from the kitchen. Another thing we noticed was the standard of cleanliness has also dropped. This was evident by the presence of cobwebs on the molding above the windows. All the servers looked rumpled, their clothing needed a good ironing!

This restaurant, located at Inn on the Lake in Falls River quickly became one of my favourites of our trip I had the fish and chips and it was excellent! The fish was haddock which was done in a lighter batter than one would normally find. You could really taste the fish and it was mothw-atering! Tihe frech fries were fresh cut and done just right. Make sure this is a stop on your trip to Halifax. You won't be disappointed!
